It had been 3 weeks since I spoken to Mason. I was still mad at him and hurt, but I still wanted him to tell me the truth about everything that happened. I just had to face the fact that I would never hear the truth from him and just work on moving on towards something better in my life.
My thoughts were cut off by my phone buzzing. I looked at it and saw I had an urgent message from my mom. I hoped everything was ok. I opened my message and started to cry.
Mom
It's grandma sweetie she passed away unexpected this afternoon. We're still trying to find out the details.I had lost my boyfriend and now my grandma was gone. "Could this month get any worse!" I thought to myself.

School was starting in a few weeks and I decided to take a class in photography. It was a interest of mine and was hoping the class would help me get better. I liked taking pictures mostly of my family but I wasn't very good at it.I had started noticing a new face in the dining hall. He was tall with dark brown hair and the most beautiful green eyes I've ever seen. (Yes I know it's weird to say a man's eyes are beautiful but it's true.)
"Hi I'm Logan. You mind if I sit with you." he smiled and my heart jumped. I thought he was handsome but that smile got me.
"I don't mind, I'm Angelica." I say with a smile up at him. My friends were gone already and I was having to leave soon, but I didn't mind the company for a little bit.
"So are you in school here?" Logan asks me. I look up at him smiling.
"I'm taking a class in photography to help me with my new job I'm starting. What about you?" I ask him.
"I'm here for a few classes-" I heard him say before he was cut off by a familiar voice that I was hoping to never hear again.
"Angelica can we talk?" I look around giving Mason a death glare. He knew I didn't want to talk to him let alone see him. Of course Lola was attached to him.
"No Mason I don't want to talk to you!!" I look over at Logan hoping he'd help me get rid of him. I see Logan stand up as soon as Mason tried to grab my shoulder.
Logan grabbed his hand and yanked it away from me. "I believe she said she doesn't want to speak to you so leave!"
Mason was about to say something but instead just sighed and left. I saw Alex running up to me. I could see anger in his eyes. I couldn't blame him Alex was like my older brother even though we were just friends.
"What did he want!" Alex asked looking over at me.
"He said he wanted to talk. Of course I told him to leave me alone." I tell Alex as he sat down next to me looking over at Logan.
"Oh sorry this is Logan. He stepped in when Mason wouldn't leave." I smile at Logan glad that he had my back.
"Thanks for the help. That guy is a real jerk." Alex says introducing himself to Logan.
"Don't mention it! Who is that guy anyway?" I look down for a second before answering.
"He's my ex and that girl is basically the one he dumped me to be with." I tell him trying to keep my emotions in check. I didn't want Logan to see how hurt I was about what had happened between Mason. The next hour or so I we were talking about past relationships.
I was glad that I could be myself around Logan. He seemed like a really nice guy and genuine. I was starting to really like him.
"I should go. I have a new job to get to and don't want to be late." I tell Logan as I start to get up and head outside the dining hall to my car.
"Will I see you tomorrow?" Logan asked with a gleam in his eyes.
"I'll be here. I always sit at that table with Alex and the rest of my friends." I say smiling up at him.
"Great I'll see you tomorrow then!" He says giving me a quick smile.
