Chapter 5 - Break up

You slowly wake up in a hospital bed. Blinking rapidly because of the immense light hitting your face, you surprisingly manage to sit up. Halfway of sitting up you stop, an executing pain comes from your leg. You look down on it, seeing it wrapped in bandages.

Reflecting the scenes you last remember, the bed sheets buckle as you tighten your grip on them, tears fall on your hands. "I-It's all... My fault... I should have taken the advice from Pack-kun.", you say with a trembling voice.

"My, my, I never thought something like THIS would happen, (Y/N)-chan." You look up, seeing the black cat spirit floating in front of you, smirking at you. Pack lands on your lap, leaning his head against your stomach he adds. "It's not your fault, please, don't get depressed..."

Hugging the familiar spirit tightly you start crying out loud. Even though he mostly gets on your nerves, and you punish him for that, Pack really is concerned about your well being most of the time. You cry as long as you wanted, getting slowly a grip, you just sob lightly. Rubbing your eyes, clearing your face from the tears, you smile towards Pack. He sighs in relief. "Glad, you're okay..."

You hold your forehead, something echoes in your mind. Flash scenes of the boy that brought you out of the school appear, still you couldn't manage to see his face clearly. Pack looks at you with a worried expression.

"What's wrong, (Y/N)-chan? Do you have a headache? Shall I call a nurse?" Your hand falls back on the bed sheets as you shake your head no. "I'm fine, I just remembered something, at first I thought it was a dream... Meeting White T Poison..."

"You should be thankful to him, I think without him, you and Mob-kun wouldn't have gotten out of there in one piece...", Pack mumbles, you nod lightly. "Do... Do you know... How..-?"

"Don't worry he's alright... He really did worry about you, (Y/N)-chan... You slept two whole days...", your familiar spirit responds, you look at him in shock. "Two... Whole... Days...?" "Yeah... Somehow Mob-kun caught a heavy cold, he had a fever, but they released him yesterday. I think he'l-" A knock interrupted the spirit's speech, he shrugs with his shoulders, "Talking about the devil..."

"Come in!", you respond. Your eyes widen as you see not Mob or someone near to you standing in the door, but Red Pepper, followed by his two most loyal followers.

"What do you want?! Get out immediately!", you shout at the three males standing in your sick room, the leader holding a bunch of flowers. "B-B-Black Pepper... We..."

You look at the red-haired male with an evil glare, making him gulp nervously, but then he stumbles. "We... Or mostly I... Want to... A-Apologize... I... We... Everyone really overdid it... Hurting you... Like this... Please... Take these flowers as... An apology from all of us..." He holds over to you the bunch of flowers, bowing lightly, so do the other two males.

You snatch the flowers from the red-haired student, throwing them on the table nearby. "That's all?", you ask snippily. "We're really sorry...", one of the other students says, bowing even lower. A nerved sigh escaped your lips, scratching the back of your head.

"I'll forgive you... But you owe me A LOT of favors... This would have ended otherwise if the boy you abducted got hurt..." All three become stiff, sweating a lot, you look confused at them, before you could ask what's up with them, someone knocked at your door. Your gaze goes towards the door. "Come in.", you respond lightly nerved.

As the door opens you see Mob entering your sick room, he looks surprised at the other males. "W-We'll t-t-t-take o-o-our l-leave n-n-n-now...", Red Pepper says waving shortly, then all of them escape your room. You blink a few times, finding this scene highly confusing... Then Mob catches your sight, you smile brightly at him, glad to see him all safe and sound. But he seems a bit... Strained...?
