Chapter 13 - Sacrifices

"Get away from him! NOW!" Ritsu screams while slapping Teruki's face multiple times to wake him up, "He's not in control now! He's unpredictable!"

You run to Teruki and Ritsu helping the blonde male, who just woke up, stabilizing his body. "What's going on...?" He mumbles.

"No time to explain, we need to get out! ASAP!" Ritsu screams again, "We need to hurr-"

All three of you get sweep off your feet as another energy wave hit you. The sounds of sirens thrilling in your ears. You look at Mob who was holding onto something...? It's the cables from before! Is he trying to...?

Danger! Danger! Overloading!

Mumbling caught your attention, you look at the madman, lying on the ground. Is he... Crying? As you approach him to knock him out completely you can hear quiet words escaping his shaking lips.

"I'm sorry... My sweet little sister... I couldn't make this world any better... I'm so sorry..."

You frown, turning to Ritsu and Teruki. "Can you walk?" They both nod, you turn around again to face the doctor. Bending over his miserable form you say: "When this is over I'm gonna punch you so hard, half of you will be in China!" You grip onto his collar, dragging him along the hidden hallway you came from before. "W-Why...? Why are you helping me?"

"Because Mob is a sweet-cinnamon-roll-like pacifist, if he hurts anyone badly, even when he's not in control he'll never forgive himself." Dr. Kyoki chuckles lightly. "What we do for the ones we love, right?" You blush lightly and pull a bit harder at his collar, choking him lightly for a short period. "Another comment and I leave you here to die, got it?" You say, voice cold as ice. "Alright, I'll shut my mouth..."

The sirens got louder.

Warning! Danger of explosion! Warning!

Dr. Kyoki struggles suddenly, you let go of his collar immediately. Hell! Let him die here, if he's not grateful for your help! "We need to go the core! I might be able to stop the explosion!"

"Why the change of hearts, doc?"

He chunters at you, while slowly getting up, lying his weight on the wall. "The explosion would be so big it'll destroy us, the whole mountain... GOD! The whole country in the worst case scenario! It's a weapon designed for mass destruction, filled up with so much psychic energy. Did you really think these boys were the first I captured?!"

"How much time do we have?" You whisper.

"I don't know! Since your 'pacifistic' friend is keep pumping energy in the machine our time limit will be rapidly decreasing!"

"Ritsu-kun! Hanazawa-kun! Get back, and help this piece of trash! I'm going to bring Mob-kun back to his senses!"

"You can't be serious, (L/N)-san! He's unpredictable, his power is too much-", Teruki shouts.

"I'll handle it somehow, besides whether the massive explosion kills us all or Mob's overwhelming power just me, come on. We all know what's the better deal." You smirk at them to hide your fear.

"I-I can't allow that, (Y/N)-chan! You're... You're like family... Don't!"

"Pack-kun... Stay with them. I couldn't bear to see you exorcised...", you say softly, "Get out right now!" The blue mist escapes your body, slowly transforming into the cat spirit. Before he could transform fully back you run off, towards the lab.

"I dare you to die there, (Y/N)-chan, or I'll kill you!" Pack screams at you.

"How can you kill me when I'm already dead?!" You scream and chuckle to encourage yourself not looking back, focusing on running.
