Repairing The Damage

I am the biggest idiot on this planet. I really did fuck up this time. I hurt his feelings by laughing at some stupid rumor I heard about one of his band mate and him. The worst part was that I remember quite well how much my words hurt him now that I replay the scene in my head. The way he was looking at me, I’ve never been stared at or looked at that way.

Why are you getting upset, is Larry legit ?

Those were the stupid words that came out of my mouth. I should have kept quiet. After Keirsten enlightened me a little more about the whole Larry thing, I tried to get a hold on Harry but he wasn’t having it. Most of my calls went either unanswered or straight to voicemail. I even texted him multiple times and I never got an answer back. Call me pathetic, because that was exactly what I was. Last night I didn’t get to go to their concert because he didn’t even invite me. I couldn’t care less about the concert, but I wanted to see him and explain myself to him. I had two more days in L.A and I didn’t want to leave it at that.

You know what they say right? Desperate times call for desperate measures and I was beyond desperate at this time. That’s why this morning right after I woke up, I dialled Niall’s number hoping he would help me out. He is the only one I was comfortable enough with to ask for favors. He must be sleeping right now and I felt horrible waking him up, especially knowing they were at a concert the night before. But I just had to. I look over at my alarm clock, It was 8:01.

‘’For Fuck’s sake, isn’t it illegal to ring someone up that early in the morning?’’

Niall’s raspy morning voice fills me up and I sigh before saying ‘’Well good morning to you too!’’

A few seconds later since he had not said anything and I was afraid he’d fall back asleep, I add ‘’I wouldn’t be calling this early if it wasn’t important Niall. Please.’’

He yawns at the other end but I hear him straighten up on his bed.

‘’I’m listening.’’ He says

‘’Before you interrupt me, I would like to apologize for what I said the other day beside the pool. I didn’t know about the Larry thing being a touchy subject. Keirsten told me everything I needed to know about it and I feel like a complete idiot reacting the way I did.’’

I take a break and since he doesn’t say anything I go on. ‘’I just want to apologize properly and in person to him, he deserves it. So I’m begging you to please let me have a chance to prove to you and the other members that I am not this self absorbed bitch that you seem to think I am.

‘’We’ve told you before, we don’t get in each other’s business. I’m sorry.’’ He finally says.

‘’It’s okay… hmm. I’m going to let you sleep then.’’ I say.

My only chance of ever talking to Harry just blows up in my face.

‘’But some bird told me that he was going for a jog at around 9:15 around the Pan Pacific Park near the Grove.’’ He says with a shy laugh

I thank him a billion time before pushing myself out of bed and plugging my phone on the charger. I rush into the bathroom to take a quick shower and once I’m done, I dry up and look for any athletic apparel. I choose a pair of black leggings, a white t-shirt, and my white converse. That was as close as I could get to any sport clothing. I tie my hair into a ponytail and decide, after a long hesitation, to not put any make up on so it doesn’t cake up if I do sweat with the heat and all the running I will have to simulate. I take my sunglasses and look at my bedside alarm clock ‘8:47’. I call myself a cab and ask to go near the Grove. I was so nervous, I was afraid I’d vomit or pass out. As soon as I hear the driver honk downstairs, I take my phone and jog down the stairs.
