Sabine's POV
The sweet sound of my child's voice. She's finally here, our own little angel.
The surgeons quickly covered me up and left the room. One nurse quickly returned with our beautiful baby in her arms, she smiled at me happily and placed her in my hands.

"Look Tom, our little girl made it.
Welcome to the world....Marinette." I said tearily.

Tom scooped both of us into his big arms and sobbed loudly.

"Thank you Sabine, for making me the happiest dad in the world." He said happily.

"You're welcome dear." I said.

--------------5 years later-------------

Five years went by in a flash. Marinette was growing up really fast, we have taken so many photos of her and framed them in our bedrooms. It was wonderful having our own little angel. I was thinking about how happy I am to have such a wonderful family as i was packing up the leftover pastries from yesterday.

"RAWR!!! Big dino is coming for you!!" Tom yelled.

Tom was playing with Marinette in the living room, the bakery was closed today because it was going to be Mari's first day at preschool and I was packing her lunch.

"Mari, Tom! It's time to go, wouldn't want to be late for Marinette's first day will we?"

Marinette zoomed out the front door with Tom close behind her. They were still playing tag, how cute.

I gave Marinette her things and plopped a small bucket hat on her head. We both got into the truck with Tom behind the wheel. I saw Marinette's hair. It was very messy and clearly Tom didn't do a good job at brushing it.

"Sweetie turn around." I asked.

Marinette's back faced me, I started combing her hair until it was even and then I tied them into two pigtails. I pulled two red ribbons from my pocket and tied them around Marinette's pigtails.

"There, all done dear. You look adorable."

"Thanks mommy! I love it so much" she said happily.

Tom dropped us off and parked his car nearby. He quickly ran back to us.

"Are you ready for your first day?" I asked.

"I feel a bit weird and scared but I'll do my best!" she said nervously.

I could hear Tom weeping behind me, I elbowed him in the stomach lightly.

"Don't make her even more nervous dear, wait till she's gone" I said shakily.

He nodded.

"Bye bye mama, papa!"

We watched our little girl run into the school gates and disappear into the crowd, everything seems to be going by so fast.

"Oh dear, she's growing up so fast already."

Tom couldn't speak because of the tears that were spilling out of his eyes and the overwhelming shock of Mari growing up. I on the other hand handled it pretty well, compared to him.
