Marinette's POV
"Oh god! I'm running late again. No, calm down Marinette there's still 30 seconds till the bell rings. I can do it, I can make it."

My small feet zoomed across the hallways and up the stairs, I was just a few metres from the classroom door. I tried to slow down my pace however my feet kept going.

"Alya!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.

"I gotcha girl!" She replied.

She threw open the door and I went flying through landing flat on my face.

"Oops, didn't think you'd tumble that far Marinette. Ahah."

I blew the unwanted strand of hair hanging on my face, out of the way. The teacher looked at me pitifully.

"Well Marinette Dupain Cheng, I suppose you aren't late however please refrain from creating such a ruckus while entering a classroom. This is an educational classroom, not a circus." The teacher said with her arms crossed.

"Sorry Ma'am, I promise it won't happen again."

She scoffed and elegantly walked behind the teachers desk. Alya offered me a hand, I happily took it and dusted my pants and jacket.

"Thanks Alya."

"No worries girl."

We both went to our seats and studied till first period was over. I leant backwards and stretched my arms into the air. My body became stiff from slouching so much. Adrien whacked my head with his flimsy notebook and grinned at me.

"Tired already? The day has barely started Marinette."

"Oh shut up pretty boy, I was busy last night."

"Hmmm. Busy." He coughed.

Nino ran into the classroom and dropped a basket's worth of food from the canteen.
(A/N: Canteens sell food in packages and wraps, it's like a cafeteria. Ish? I'm Australian aha I'm not sure how other countries provide their students food in their schools but yeah :3)

"I hauled all the goodies before they ran out, you're welcome." He announced proudly.

"Thanks dude." Adrien said happily.

"Yeah, thanks Nino." Alya said while swiping a cream puff from the pile.

She also grabbed a coffee cream bun and tossed it on my lap.

"Thanks."

The small, soft and white clouds in the sky suddenly became dark and ominous. The four of us shuffled towards the heater as we watched the snow fall. The students were sent home early because the weather. We all packed up our things and waited for our parents to pick us up at the entrance. We watched our classmates leave one by one, entering a car and driving off. My phone rung. I saw my mom's ID displayed on my home screen and I picked it up.

"Hey Mama."

"Hello dear, I was going to pick you up however it seems the snow has obstructed the highways. I'm going to go back home to help your father pack up the store, will you be alright getting home on your own?"
