Adrien's POV
The icy wind pierced my eyes and skin as I ran towards the hospital. 15 minutes passed and I could finally see the front desk through the frosted glass doors. I burst open the door and crashed into the front desk.

"I'm Adrien Agreste. Where's Mrs Agreste!?" I yelled.

"R-room 19 sir." The lady replied timidly.

I bolted to room 19 and violently slid open the door. There she was, my beautiful mother laying on the pure white hospital bed, motionless. My father looked at me with tears in his eyes and looked away. My heart twisted and turned in agony as I approached her, legs trembling and mouth gaping wide open.

"M-mother?" I croaked.

Her beautiful cherry lips became a dangerous purple colour, her once bright and naturally pale skin looked ghastly white and the slight wheezing breaths that slowly escapes from her mouth. The sight of my mother in this state made my legs give out. My trembling legs were now like broken branches. I desperately crawled towards her and caressed her icy cold skin with my warm hands.

"Adrien, do not touch her. Leave her be and let the professionals tend to her."

"How can you be so composed!? Your very own wife is dying before your incompetent eyes!"

"Silence! I'm doing this for her sake, how do you think she would feel to be awoken by her beloved family screaming and yelling at each other!?"

I gulped and hung my head down low. I clenched my fists and stood there silently. Tears would occasionally trickle down my cheeks and slight sounds of hiccups were resounding throughout the room. My father embraced me and patted my head for the first time in years, this is something my mother would normally do. My eyes widened at the sudden realization however I quietly accepted his comfort and buried myself in the warmth of my father, and possibly the only family member I will have left soon.

"Mother will make it right? She told me she felt perfectly fine yesterday. Right father?"

"Mmm." He replied shakily.

Suddenly, a doctor walked in with a sullen look on his face. My heart sank, I could already tell it was not going to be good news.

"It seems like the hypothermia and her disease got the best of her, we have determined that she will either pass away or go into a coma. I'm sorry."

I bursted into tears like an infant. Unstoppable tears continued to stream down my face as I clung to almost lifeless mother.

"Mother! Mother!" I continued to croak.

The doctor simply bowed and exited the room. My father walked to mother.

"Adrien please, can I have a moment with my wife?"

I choked on my own sobs and exited the room as I was told. I stood beside the door and listened to my father cry.

"Whether I'm here or not won't matter." I mumbled.

I dragged my feet towards the exit and out of the hospital.

"Marinette.....I want to see her."

I started to walk to Marinette's house. The blizzard struck me and tackled me down but I continued to get up and walk, like a lifeless doll. The flickering lights of Marinette's bedroom illuminated. I took out my cellphone and called her. One ring. Two rings. Three rings. She finally picked up.
