Midnight Mistakes

"Don't you think that mentioning that earlier might have helped just a little bit?"

I shrug. "It wasn't important earlier,"

"It is now through..."

"Well you know now, that's all that matters right?" I stand up and push past Fu. I walk right up to Envy and punch him the face. "That's for making me look like an idiot on the plane."

"So...I guess...we will be leaving now."

Envy looks at me, shocked. 'How did the brat know it was me?' Fu stands in front of you. "I don't think so, niether of you are leaving until we get the blue stone,"

"Welp we're fucked then."

"No we're not." I send my foot up in the air and knock Leera out cold. "One down,"

I charge at Envy and stab my blade through his head. "Two down."

I grin. "Look old man, I'm don't want to have all night for this so, this can go two ways," I stand next to you. "Either I kill you quickly, or Kai kills you slowly." He steps back with fear in his eyes and stays quiet.

"I think we have our answer." I grin

I motion my hands toward him and smile. "After you Kai,"

I approach him and stab him in the lower back. Paralyzing him, he falls to the ground still awake. I grab his head twist it left making a loud cracking sound. Then I grab his jaw and push it up making another cracking sound. I stand up and sending my foot down on his neck.

I sit down on the couch and watch as his brutal death comes to an end. I shake my head. "All you had to do was answer my question and you could avoided all this."

"Any other secrets?"

"No, that's all of them,"

"Okay..."

I sigh and stand up. "I'm sorry I keep dragging you into my mess of problems.." I walk around the room and look through stuff.

"You don't drag me into anything." I kneel down and poke Envy. "Weird."

"Well i'm sure you didn't voluntarily sign up to come down here and kick peoples asses," I look through some drawers. 'It has to be here...' "Careful with that, he could come back."

"Aren't they suppose to?" I stand up and walk over to you. "Yeah but I said I would come with you.

"They should, but Envy's weak so he might not." I open another drawer and find a jewlrey box. "I know you did, but still." I open the box and a huge grin crosses my lips. I reach inside and pull out a silver locket with a small blue heart gem in the center. I open it up an tears fill my eyes. "Mom..."

'I don't know how to handle crying girls.' "Do you need a minute? I'll give you a minute." I leave the room and close the door.

I smile and grasp the necklace in my hand. "I knew i'd find it." I sit down and admire the locket. I dry my eyes before I start bawling. "Now for phase two," I stand up and meet you outside the room.

"You okay?"

I nod. "I'm fantatsic." I wrap the necklace around me and put it on. "We've got one more thing to do, then we can go home."

"Okay. And that is?"

"Visit the cemetary..." I walk out of the door.

"Seems legit." I follow you out of the house. "Question."

"What is it?"

"How did Fu get that necklace?"

I stop walking. "That's...a very good question."

"Who are you going to see in the cemetery?"

"A family member..but when we get there, could you stay in the car?"

'Way to make me feel unwanted.' "Sure."

"Thanks," I half smile and get in the car.

I get in the passenger seat. "Yeah, it's no problem."

We arrive at the cemetary and I get out of the car. "I shouldn't be long,"

"Take your time."

I nod and walk out to a grave at the far end of the cemetary. 'I only have one shot at this." I take the necklace off and place it on the grave. I take out a piece of chalk and draw a huge transmuation circle around the grave. "Gotta make it count.."

I wait in the car. "I wonder who she's visiting..."

I clap my hands together and put them on the ground. The entire cemetary lights up and there's a huge explosion.

"What the hell?!" I climb out of the car and into the cemetery.

I fall backwards and am blinded by the light. Smoke fills the graves and I start to cough. I sit up and look around. "D-did it work?" I hear footsteps approaching and a hand pushes through the smoke and reaches for me. I take it and fall over. I look down and see pools of blood around me. "My fucking leg!!" I scream. The hand pulls me up again and hugs me. I take a breathe and find a familar scent. I look up and find my mother smiling down at me.
