Pulling through

"Amelia...?" Smoke lingers throughout the cemetery so it is hard for me to see. "Hello?"

"I-I'm over here Kai," my voice was soft. "Mom..." I smile and hug her tight. "It's really you!" She pushes my hair out of my face. "Of course it's me darling,"

I walk over and see you and you mom. "Uh...hi.."

My mother sets me down. "Hello, I suppose you're a friend of Emmy's?" The smile is still plastered to my face. "I did it..." I say. "I really did it.." As I sit there the pain finally sets in and I scream. "Holy shit, this hurts!"

"Amelia, watch your mouth. We need to get her to a hospital."

"Yeah that's me..." I kneel down put your arm over my shoulder and pick you up. "Looks like your gonna need another automail."

"Hey..There's pretty spots in the air.." I point to the air. "Can you see them Kai?"

"She's losing to much blood." She wraps my other arm around her. "Let's go."

We bring you to the car and I get you in the back seat. "I don't suppose you know how to drive?"

"Of course I do," She gets in the driver seat and puts her foot all the way down on the gas peddle. "Hang in there Emmy, you'll be okay!"

"Guys...My eyes are blurry..."

"It's gonna be okay Amelia," I grab your hand and hold it tight.

We make it to the hospital and my mother jumps out of the car. "You get her out, i'll go get a nurse!" She runs inside.

I pick you up and bring you inside the hospital.

"Kai..." I mumble.

"Yeah?"

I look up at you. "I want you to promise me something.."

"Okay......?"

"If I die here..I won't be around to stop you from doind stupid shit.." I smile a bit. "So don't do any stupid shit."

"That's not gonna happen. So you better not die."

My mother returns with a nurse and a wheel chair. "Then at least promise me you'll stop drinking." The nurse puts me in the chair and rolls me down the hall. "Do you want to go back there with her?"

I nod and follow you down the hall.

She steps into the room and i'm hooked up to multiple machines and my leg is wrapped up. My mother cringes and sits down. The nurse pulls my mother out of the room and shuts the door.

I look at the door and sit down in a chair next to your bed. "Never been in a hospital before..."

My mother peers through the door and frowns. She continues talking to the nurse. I look over at you and laugh a bit. "Never been in a car..never been in a hospital..you need to get out more."

"And become a social butterfly like you? No thanks..." I sigh. "I'm gonna need to start making you your new leg as soon as possible."

I nod and take a deep breathe. "Another automail leg..cool." I grin.

"Yeah It will be really cool. But it's gonna take awhile."

I nod again. "Thank you Kai." Suddenly there's a loud thud outside the door. I push myself up and stare at the door. "What was that?" A few seconds later the nurse walks in. "Dear...you're mother..she had a heart attack."

I look over at you in shock. "..."

I nod and take a deep breathe. "Another automail leg..cool." I grin.
