"That's something else."
"It's just like her to go and do something like this too.." She walks out of the room.
"I can't believe this.."
"Well...looks like your mom is getting a heart."
I smile a little. "Yeah, looks like she is."
I smile. "Good..."
"Hey Kai?"
"Yeah?"
"You know I paid the bill when we got here right?" I smirk. "I know what you were planning on doing."
"Then i must have paying someone else's bill."
"Yeah, okay." I smile. A few seconds pass and there's a knock on the door. In rolls my mother in a wheel chair and a nurse. "Mom!" I smile.
"Glad to see you are feeling better."
She smiles and rolls over to me. "How are you feeling?"
"Fine fine, don't worry about me. How do you feel?"
"Fantastic." She reaches into her pocket and pulls out a small box with the homunculus sign on it. She quickly slips it into my hands, trying to keep it hidden from you.
"I have to go now, but remember why we're here, okay?"
I frown and nod. "Right, of course."
"...why are you here?"
I tuck the box under my pillow and roll on my side. "No reason."
'Kept in the dark yet again.' "'Kay."
"I think you should go back to Rush Valley," i say quietly
"Alright." I stand up and stretch.
"You need supplies for my leg anyway right?"
"Like I said another guy it's gonna make your new leg. I can't do it."
I frown. "Right, sorry. But still, you should go. Sage probably misses you a lot."
"I said id go." I stand up and grab my backpack and walk out of the room.
I frown. "Bye.." I wait a few minutes to make sure you're gone. I reach under my pillow and pull out the box. I open it and pull out a red and blue stone. "I can't believe i'm doing this again..."
I walk out of the hospital and down the street. "Can't believe I almost gave my heart away..."
I take out my IV and unhook myself from all the machines. I grab some crutches and leave the room. I go into the medicine room and sit down. 'Gotta be quick..' I break up the stones into small peices and put some in each of the medicine bottles.
'How far is the airport...? Like an hours walk...not too bad." I kick a stone on the ground.
"That should be enough." I leave and go meet my mother outside. She sits at the corner of the hospital and I go over to her.
"Is it done?"
I nod. "Yes,"
She smirks. "Good,"
"Why did she want me to leave? Did I do something wrong?"
"Now when the patients take their medicine they'll be slowly turned into chimeras"
I rub my arm and look down. "Yeah, great."
I turn aground. "Well...sense I'm by a hospital I should get a new inhaler,"
