//Annie//

I stood at the end of the parking lot, a lit cigarette between my finger tips, waiting for something to happen. Maybe someone pity me and offer a lift home, something like that. I knew that was unimaginable, and that after I finished my fag there was a 50 minute walk awaiting me, and I just had to deal with that.

I continued to stand and smoke, knowing if I walked and smoked I'd soon become out of breath, get a cramp and probably pass out.

In the middle of exhaling my phone buzzed in my hand. I unlocked it, reading a text from Ashton.

Completely forgot group is on today!! can you be there in half an hour? ill pick u up if not x

I stared at the x for a couple of seconds, deciding on whether or not I should send one back. To my luck the youth center was a half hour walk from my school, and Ashton could give me a lift home afterwards.

ill be there in 30 mins thanks for reminding me ashton. x

I stared at my x for a couple seconds longer than I stared at Ashton's before hitting send, and then began walking.

I was out of breath by the time I got there and was five minutes early. Sighing, I took a seat on the curb between two cars and lit another fag, puffing away for my last five minutes of calm freedom before shit hits the fan.

While I was sitting I saw Matty walk past the gap between the cars, and instantly called his name. He walked backwards until I had him in sight again and smiled at me before squeezing between the two cars and sitting down in front of me, staring at me while I smoked.

"Good to see you again, Annie," he said, a genuine smile on his face.

"I never got to thank you for helping me, so thank you."

"No need, I'd to it for any skeleton in that room." He winked at me, and the sound of what he said made my stomach drop and smoke come out my nose, as if I truly was raging.

I stood from where he was sat and maneuvered my way around him until I was able to walk past. Finishing my fag, I threw what was left on the end right at his neck and tried to hide my laugh and he winced and held his neck.

"Dude, what the fuck?"

I ignored his statement and walked away, making my way in to the building and up the stairs to our room. Inside was a group of people sat in a circle with Tina and Ashton sat at the front. Ashton smiled at me as soon as I walked in, and I did the same, looking down and making my way towards the snack table to grab a bottle of water. Once I did so, I sat down.

I could feel Ashton's eyes burning in to the side of my head from where he was sat not too many seats away from me. Tina opened her mouth to say something but before she could do so the door swung open and in trudged Matty, a sour look on his face. I kept my face down, but once I realized the only empty seat was beside me, I was desperate to apologize.

"Nice of you to join us, Matty," Ashton called sarcastically. The group chuckled quietly, and Matty huffed. He took a seat next to me, glaring at the side of my head for a few short seconds before finally looking away.

Tina began to speak about something I took no notice of and instead focused on how other people around the room reacted. Some nibbled their finger nails, others eyes shot around the room, some sat silently.

"Matty."

At the sound of this my eyes shot up to see Tina staring and smiling at the boy sat next to me. His eyes shot up along with mine, staring at Tina also.
