"He's not coming," I say anxiously. I don't sense him- I haven't for a while- if anything he's further away. It's starting to rain... it's pouring.

I pace again.

"I'm going after him-" Durst steps in front of me.

"-I'm leading you all there, even if he isn't coming Durst, we have to fight. We have to stop them-"

"He's the one who makes the calls, if he doesn't want to bring them here he has his reasons." Durst's wolf replies in my mind.

"I am the Luna. His reasons are the exact reasons we have to fight- for the children- for our family. Now let me go!" I shout as I push past him. He wants to stop me, but my body is already changing into my wolf form. I'm going to lead them. "You will listen to me." I reply to his wolf with my own now. "Stay here." I demand of him, and he listens.

"Where is he?" Owens wolf says loudly over everyone else's racing thoughts that go through my mind as I meet up with the others who have already changed. I was he last to change and I can tell it worries them that I'm leaving the house behind. I run in front of them and begin pacing, my paws moving me quickly.

That's when I see the red again. It doesn't take over, but I no longer fight it. I need it to find Danny.

"He changed his plans. He doesn't want to bring them here. So we will go to them." I reply to Owen- but everyone hears, and there's a loud echo of howls in response. They're from my tribe, my pack, my scouts. They're ready, and so am I.

We hear howls in the distance that mean to come towards us- it's the others. Then I hear Daniel.

His howl is for me....

He's telling me to run.

I'm not going to listen.

I am their Luna. I have to lead them, at all costs- I cannot hesitate. Not again. Even though I promised.

I let out a howl to charge, my voice cutting through the night, and echoing off of the distant mountains. My paws move in swift strong motions as I propel myself forward and run- the fire in me brighter and stronger than ever. I use it to push me harder and faster than I've ever run, my body feeling free from the pressures of being human. I feel one of the babies kick in my stomach, but now that I am wolf they don't slow me down. I need to protect them- but they need their father- they need a future to belong to. They need me to fight. Danny needs me.

As I draw near I finally start sensing him more. I can feel him, his worry, his anger, his rage. He's on the verge of losing and losing it. Then I feel the others around him shift their attention to the rest of us, sense their victorious energy cut down by our presence, by the recognition of our strength. Then I feel the connection between us all as red clouds my vision again. I know now more than ever what Daniel felt and meant by the red- it's not only a color, but an emotion. It's every angry feeling bubbling at the surface. They want us to turn- the rogues- they want us to lose ourselves. They need to be lead- but Daniel won't do it. So we must fight- and we must win.

The first wave comes towards us, flanking our left side. Owen moves beside me and takes the first wolf to charge head on, his jaws clamping on the others front shoulder before he could reach me. More surround as the others of my pack fend them off, but it isn't but a moment before two are headed my way. Now or never I must take them. I dodge the first attack and grab the second wolf by the throat- and throw her lifeless body into the second. The second wolf hurls towards Frea, who releases the wolf in her grasp and hits the one coming toward her with a mighty blow of her paw- a loud crack ringing from its now broken skull.
