"Soul come down for dinner!"
Maka called up the stairs in her black dress, holding a wine glass filled with '50' year old grape wine, that she didn't plan on drinking but Mr. Stein had insisted.
"Yeah yeah whatever Maka."

Souls chuckle sounded through the school, as Soul came down the steps with Black Star.
"Here. Drink this."
I handed him the glass.
"Why?"
"Because I don't want it."
"Oh I see."
Soul swallowed it all in one gulp and Maka slapped his suit covered arm.
"Soul!"
Black star laughed, and Soul joined in.
"I'm sorry, did you just stomp your foot?!"
Soul laughed, drawing attention to them.
Maka quickly walked away, going to find Tsubaki.
Sure, Soul was cute and nice but he could certainly drive her up the wall sometimes!

"Maka-"
"Leave her be. Remember our plan?"

I sighed.

"Right. I'll get the spot light on you, then you proclaim you love Tsubaki and then it'll be my turn. I just don't like seeing Maka angry or anything."
"I don't like it either but we gotta live with it for a hour or so. Besides I know they've got souls for you Soul Eaters."
"Cool."

I walked over to the food table, greeting Death the Kid, with Patty and Liz.

After a couple souls, I found Maka.
"Hey shorty."
I bumped my arm into Maka and she turned, she was talking to Tsubaki.
"What do you want Soul?"
"I'm sorry, am I not allowed to hangout with my partner?"
She rolled her eyes at me and turned back to Tsubaki.
"So hows Black Star doing?"
"I'm doing pretty good Maka."
Black Star had crept up, wrapping his arms around Tsubaki and she yelped, but saw Black Stars face and smiled.
Maka's eyes went wide.

"Are you to... Are you guys like-"
"Yes Maka we're dating."
"But, what happened to our plan?! Dude!"
I said angrily.
Black Star smirked.
"What plan?"
Oh he knew exactly what he was doing. He was making me look like a total doofus in front of Maka! Was he trying to make me look stupid?!
"Oh, uh- nothing Maka."
I laughed nervously and glanced at Black Star.
"Do it."
Something was thrust into my hand, and it was a bunch of flowers.
Come on Soul! Just. Do. It. Now!
"Uh, ugh, hmm, Maka, I uh, I've kinda liked you for a while, like a long while and and and would you go out w-with me?"
Silence.
"Of course Soul!"
I laughed in relief as Maka attacked me with a bear hug. I gladly hugged her back.
Applause could be head and Maka buried her head into my tux, probably to hide her blush.
"Whoo!"
Black Star high fived me, but I scowled at him
"I will get you for this."
"And finally it happened! About time!"
I turned my head to see Liz and Patty.
"Wheres Kid?"
"Crying because Mr. Steins metal Bolts are a not symmetrical."
"Oh."

I chuckled and Maka let go.
"So that's a yes then?"
"Duh!"
"Good Shorty."
