The duelists were off into different fields within the city as you decided to go meet up with Shun "hey Shun" you say as you run by his side "hello (name)" he greets back. As you run you notice that Shun has a tense aura around him, senseing something was wrong. you stopped running and began to pant a bit "what is the true purpose of the Battle Royal?" You ask, Shun was surprised that you had ask a question concerning not the entire Championship, but the Battle Royal. Sighing, Shun decided to answer "Akaba Reiji wants us to fight those Fusion Scum that's been coming to this dimension and he wants us to become something he calls Lancers so we can stop the Fusion from ruining other dimensions" you nod as you comprehended what Shun had said. You saw a card from corner of your eyes "oh a Pendulum card" you said going to grab the card "alright let's go" you said as you and Shun stared to run again to the Jungle field. The Fusions were already there and they were waiting for any prey to come at them, Shun saw a Fusion and brought out his Duel Disk along with you "DUEL!!" You both shouted as you dueled the Fusions there.

After the duel with the Fusions Shun ran off again as he was followed by none other than you. While running you saw a glimpse of people that looked like students from the LDS, in cards. Looking away on a memory of Heartland that had came up, tears had also stricken your eyes "are you ok (name)?" Shun asked "I'm fine, let's go to the Ancient Ruins field" Shun nodded at the command and lead you to the sand field. On your way there you spot Yuya in the Volcano Zone "Shun go ahead" you said and Shun nod as he went ahead "hey Yuya" you greet "oh hey (name)" all of a sudden you see a man with orange hair "who are you?" You asked "My name is Dennis Mcfield. What's yours?" Dennis asked "I'm (name) (last). Nice to meet you Dennis" then you two shared a quick handshake until you saw Fusions. Yuya and you had challenged the Fusions to a duel as so did Dennis "Dennis. The penalty!" Yuya shouted "its fine" was what Dennis said until a wave of electricity had shocked him. "HAHA!! YOU'RE GOING TO LOSE!!" The Fusion shouted as rage had surged through your body 'those Fusion bastards' you cursed mentally. Yuya had brought out his duel disk as you already had out yours "DUEL!!" Yuya and you shouted "I summon Pendulum Statue Red Fairy and Pendulum Statue Red Fiend and I set the Pendulum Scale. Now I can summon monsters from the level 2-6, SWING, PENDULUM OF MY SOUL. COME OUT MY MONSTER SEVRVENTS!" The monsters came out from above as they landed on the ground and Dennis watching with hopeful eyes while you had watched the Pendulum Summon. "COME OUT LEVEL 4 SILVER CLAW AND LEVEL 4 WHIP SNAKE!!"  Suddenly Yuya felt his body starting to burn "uh Yuya...... Are you ok??" You asked in worry as your tomato haired friend stopped all movement. You looked at the monsters and noticed one thing: they're both level 4 "oh shit" you muttered as you saw Yuya have a red glint in his eyes while his hair stood up a bit 'Yuto' is what came to mind "Yuya you ok?" Dennis asked as he began to tell Yuya he wasn't alone.

On an impulse you brought Yuya into an embrace.

"No Yuya! Don't give in. Yuto, stop this. I know you're mad at the Fusion, I am to but that doesn't mean that you should just take over Yuya and attack them until they're practically unconscious, my family to was attacked by Fusion. I'm here if you need me but please stop. YUTO!!!! PLEASE STOP!!!"

Yuya. No, Yuto. Tensed up but then relaxed "thank you. (Name)" Yuto turned his head as he kissed the top of your head and hugged you back for a minuted until he moved his hands from around you as you look up "heheh sorry about that (name)" Yuya laughed nervously. Dennis looked at you "that was amazing work there (name). I didn't know what was going on but that was amazing!!" Dennis had complimented as he slapped your shoulder a few times. You thank him as Yuya had started to duel the Fusions along with you and Dennis.

You, Yuya, and Dennis had eventually met up with Yuzu as she questioned you about how you found Yuya "look Yuzu I was just running around with Shun and-" you stooped as you remembered Shun was at the Ancient Ruins field. You told Yuya and Yuzu that you had to go as you ran off without telling them a reason why you had ran off, once you met up with Shun you saw that he was sitting near a pillar "hello Mr. Birdie" you greet as you sat down beside him "hello (nickname)" he greeted back making you laugh at the old name. Shun sighed and looked at the sky "the same sky as that day before the invasion huh?" You asked gaining his attention "yeah I suppose so. Its been a while" Shun says as he thinks about something to say. "Oh that's right!!" Shun says cursing under his breath making you think that maybe there might be something wrong with your bird loving friend "Kite said hello and that he hopes that you're doing ok" Shun says with a smirk knowing that Yuto would be jealous of Kite right now. A blush came to your face as you remembered your Photon Transforming friend, "oh ok, well I'm glad he's doing well" you look at the ground as Shun chuckles "you know.... Yuto was kind of jealous that you blushed at Kite instead of him" Shun explained ".......I didn't know" just the thought of Yuto made you want to cry. Your pendant had glowed as you looked down at it, all of the lights glowed as Shun's glowed as well but only the (color) one glowed "I'm sorry, I should've known that you were still taking this hard" Shun apologized as you took deep breaths saying it was ok.

You and Shun heard running footsteps as you saw Yuya "Yuya?!/(name)?!" You and Yuya shouted simultaneously. Shun glared at Yuya "WHY DO YOU HAVE DARK REBELLION!!" Shun shouted "YUTO TRUSTED ME WITH IT!" Yuya had shouted back "you have to believe him Shun" you said sternly. Shun sighed as he nodded at you, Yuya was about to say something when "this card is able to attack you directly due to it's monster's effect!" All three of you guys turned around seeing a duelist that looked a bit like a knight while he had a monster by his side, then you noticed the attack was sent directly at you! You grabbed Shun's and Yuya's hand as you ran off just in time doge the monster's attack "my monster can negate any battle damage!" Another mysterious voice said making you confused. "Who the hell are these guys?!" You shout "apparently these people never learn when to stop" Shun growled "is it just me or do I hear some lowly cowards talking?'' The first knight guy said "I think I hear it to" the second one said. Yuya had a very lost look on his face as so did you, another direct attack was sent towards the trio as they jumped out of the way quickly "my monster can again negate battle damage" once you stood up you see that Shun was pretty pissed off "these guys are harassing us" he said "but that's just wr-" before Yuya could finish his sentence the guys that tried to attack you announced that they would keep repeating the same actions until there was nothing left "these assholes" you muttered "they'll have to join the duel to attack us back which will trigger the penalty making them lose 2000 life points!" One of the knight looking guys shouted "that's where they're getting at" Yuya said. 

'This is going to be a problem' you thought as you, Shun, and Yuya started to think about what to do.
