"You ugly you yo daddy son" She pointed to a sleeping Jacquees making me giggle
"He is so cute omg" I gawked over the baby
"Him and his sister gonna be flyyy just wait on it" Tiana agreed
"They get it from us because they daddy just as UGLYYYY" I flipped my hair
"You know im really glad we talked out of problems. It feels good to have a real friend on my side" She said as she turned the music off
"Yea I dont want to have any problems around our babies were gonna be around each other more so why not?" I shrugged
"Ok Ill see yall later my moms outside" She said strapping Sincere in his car seat
"Ok Ill call with any updates on him" I told her as she walked out. I sighed and stood up going into the bathroom. This was now the 3rd day Jacquees was here. He ended up going into a coma not long after they removed the bullet.
Not only is this stressing me out by my upcoming baby shower is too. It was a week from now and the docters are saying they dont know if he will wake up
After showering I got dressed in my sweats that I have been wearing around lately. I pulled my shirt up and rubbed in my belly butter to prevent some stretch marks.
Once I was finished in the bathroom I wobbled back into the room and sat on the love seat they put in here for me. I reached over and grabbed his hand that seemed to always be held out for me to grab.
"Come on Jacquees. Just opened you eyes and show who ever did this to you they could never stop you from living your life" I kissed his hand then reached to kiss his lips
"Knock knock" I heard then seen my dads head appear in the door way
"Hey daddy" I smiled
"Hey sweet heart how you holding up" He came over to kiss my forehead
"Good"
"And my granddaughter?"
"Oh we all know shes good as long as shes near her dad" I giggled
"So um have you heard from you mom?"
"Yes I have but Im not worried about her right now. My main concern is Jacquees waking up"
"Shes here in Atlanta"
"I know"
"You nees to talk to your mom"
"No i dont she didnt want to talk to me when i told her I was pregnant so I have nothing to say to her" I rolled my eyes
"Ok Im not gonna force you but just know she will be her for a little while longer so I think you should talk to her soon" He stood
"Your leaving?"
"Yea I know you have work in the morning and I have to pick up some medicine for Mariah. Ill see you in the morning" He kissed my cheek and headed out.
I got up and turned off the lights then turned the tv on. I grabbed a water bottle and went and layed on the couch soon falling asleep
~Next Day~
I walked into my job greeting some of my morning co-workers. I went into the back and clocked in than sat my stuff in my locker. Today was gonna be a busy day because sophora was releasing a new set on eye shadows and lips sticks so I knew the store was gonna be packed.
"Nyla honey you can take the register today" My manager said as she put out some foundation
"Are you sure its gonna be super busy today"
"Yea go ahead and take register and grab a stool so you not on your feet all day" She lightly pushed me towards the checkout area. I sighed and sat on the stool seeing some women start to walk in. Here goes a long day.
It was now the end of my shift and the store was still busy. I hurried and clocked out then went to the Chinese place and grabbed me some dinner. I opened the doors to my jeep and got in turning the air on since it was hot outside.
I was on my way to the hospital when I remembered I had to get me some more clothes and my computer so I could check my emails. As I pulled up to the house our building I seen my 'mother' outside. I planned on getting out and walking straight past her but that didnt work
"Nyla" She stood from the steps
"What"
"Can we talk?"
"About what? Theres nothing to discuss"
"I want to be in my grandbabies life."
"You sure didnt want to a few months ago"
"Will you just let me explain"
"Look maybe another time. Im tired my feet are hurting Im hungry and i just want to get back to the hospital to sit by my boyfriends side" I rolled my eyes as I opened the door to the condo. I really wanted to slam the door in her face but remembered she was still my mother
"Sweetheart please? I need you" She grabbed my hand. I looked down and seen her hand was shaking very bad
"Mom whats wrong" I asked concerned sitting my things down
"Ny Im sick extremely sick"
"What?"
"I found out i have breast cancer. Ive been wanting to tell you but after you said you were pregnant i just couldnt put that pressure on you" Her eyes started to tear up
"Momma"
"They say I may only have a year left with the way its spreading but i am starting treatment "
"What?" My voice was barley audible "its that bad'
"Yes baby it is."
"But momma you can-" tears ran down my face. Everything was just going wrong
"First Jacquees may not make it out of coma now you may only have a year to live? What else can go wrong? My baby needs her dad and grandma i need yall"
"Just pray fro me baby. And stick by Jacquees side. Ima be here in Atlanta for a few months for treatment so maybe we can talk again soon" She wiped my face
"Yes we have to" I knodded my head
"Well im gonna go"
"Wait I want you to have something" I went into the babys room and got on the the ultrasound pictures
"Keep it"
"Awe" She smiled slightly
"I love you momma"
"I love you too baby" She kissed my forehead
