"Hey Nick. It's been a while"
Jena replies surprised. They then turn around and blend in with everyone else.
"Jena"begins Jake "I'm sorry for keeping you guys waiting.We had a little problem with the cops for over speeding."Jake ends and all the other guys mutter apologies."It's fine guys.Was a little upset but we're good."The rest of the evening is mostly drinks,slight dance movements especially since Jake and Mia are practically in their own world and the rest of the guys got couple of girls to talk to.Nick and Jena spend the evening on their own. "You've changed like for real"Nick says and Jena nods knowingly "It happens at some point in everyone's life" she says.
The club gets a little more noisy with a group of guys taking Tequila shots with the crowd cheering them. Apparently they did a bet and the person who took the highest number of shots got 80 bucks. Some huge guy kept on bragging and saying he'll get the money and when he didn't,a fight broke.We took that as our cue to leave.
Jake was going to take Mia home and Nick insisted on taking Jena home it was past midnight already.The car ride was insanely quiet. This was the first time she'd rode with a guy since the break up apart from family.Jena mentally slapped herself. "It's not a big deal. Stop being so naive" she told herself. Nick looked at her like she'd just farted.Oops had she said that aloud?Second time this night.
"You OK?" he asked amused
"Yeah just thought of something silly.That's all" she replied clearly fluttered. Jake smirked and returned his gaze to the road. He pulled up in her driveway and wished her a goodnight but before she could leave, he asked for her number.She got the phone and filled in her digits.Wished him a goodnight and walked away towards her room, her bed,she couldn't wait.The night had been long.
She almost fell asleep in the tub.After the bath she quickly dried her hair and put on  grey PJs,played her playlist titled 'sleep' and dream land was where she ended up seconds later.
