Caught up in the moment

It'd been a couple of days later since the date.Lyn had kept on teasing Jena but she paid no attention.Strange enough,things were a little heated between Jena and Jack.That evening after school,he got home and after showering,they began talking.He requested for a picture and she sent one of her pouting.He spent a while staring at the picture.Jena was such a tease.He remembered his ex Thelma,she loved him and he did too but shit happens.He wished they had lasted longer.He,however did not tell her it was over,he hoped she understood from his reactions.He wasn't exactly sure how she would react especially if she realized the much younger Jena had a greater impact on him.He was free that weekend and hoped Jena was as well.
He asked about her plans and she had to hang out with friends.At the last minute,that was cancelled and he took her to some five star restaurant alongside a friend of his,Donnan.
They got fries and chicken but Jena insisted on having just a drink.It was fun,Jena was a real conversation booster.Jack was calm and not engaged in their conversation.Jena went for a walk round the pool and was joined by Donnan.They just walked in silence when Donnan blurted,"I think he likes you".She was a little surprised but just shrugged.
"That doesn't explain his mood."They walked back to the restaurant few minutes later and found Jack on phone.He spoke for a bit and ended the call.Jena knew that wasn't just a phone call and kept to herself the rest of the evening.
Jack's POV
I'm here alone.Donnan and Jena have gone for a walk.I think I like her but Thelma is in the way.I cant deceive her like this.I don't feel for Thelma but she just won't go.She's calling now.Damn.They are back.Jena doesn't look happy.I hang up and try to fit in into the conversation this time.

They get done with their drinks. Jack proposes wine but Jena insists on going home.Just then,it began raining.No home for her. Donnan inquired about her age, she teased at first saying she was 16 then honestly said she was 17.They spoke for a bit and Jack was more exposed and confident.He held her hand,tucked stray strands of her hair but she took no notice.Once it had stopped raining,they got going. Jack settled the bill and they got into Jack's car. He dropped her at her gate and before she could step down,he grabbed her hand and gave her a brief kiss.She flushed crimson red and quickly got out. She thought she'd seen Donnan give Jack a handshake or something.Whatever the kiss was just a caught-in-the-moment thing.
