~*~ One Week Later ~*~

I groaned as I woke from my phone ringing. At three o' clock in the morning.

"Yes?" I extended that longer than I needed to.

"Frisk! Where are you? I just spotted Nightmare and he was heading your way!"

"What?" I squealed, sitting up in bed fully.

Now I was awake.

"I'm following now but, I've lost him for now. It's hard to see this guy in the darkness of night."

I nodded, even though I knew he couldn't see me nodding.

"Okay, I'm going to... hide, or something. I'll keep my phone on me in case, though."

"Okay, I'll see you in a minute."

I hung up quickly, running to the window. I double checked that it was locked and closed the curtains. I then ran over to my door and locked it, running into the closet and closing the door. I snuggled into the blankets, scarves, and other things while controlling my breathing.

Though I felt like I was suffocating, I was quite quiet with my breathing.

My phone buzzed with a silent text:

   He's in your house!

My anxiety then started trying to punch through me. He was in my house. In my house.

A creaking noise then sounded outside my door, making me clasp a hand over my mouth before I screamed.

   I'm in... Stay safe, okay?

I planned on staying in that closet for years if I needed to.

Someone struggled with the door handle, making the silent room noisy for a moment. Then it creaked open, unlocked from the outside somehow.

I held my breath.

He laughed, his laugh dark and deep as always, "I know you're in here. And I know Sans is here, too. I'm not here to hurt you. I'm just here to prolong my life; you know I can't survive without sadness. And you're the best source for it."

The closet door creaked open. I snuggled father down into the pile of camouflage.

"I see you down there." The world then rushed past me as he picked me up by the shirt collar.

I struggled against his grip as the comfort of the closet left my side in a blur. I panicked, trying to kick him.

"Let me go!" I shouted, still struggling.

"Three, two, one." Sans burst into the room, eye glowing blue.

"Let her go, Nightmare!" He demanded, summoning attacks behind him.

He sighed and shook his head, "I can't. I'm dying. But that's okay with you, right? Would the world be better of without me? I know it would, but I deserve to live, so no."

He cut a portal into the ground, making me struggle even more.

"Nightmare! Stop this!" Ink appeared through another portal, paint brush in hand.

"Ink! What a pleasant surprise!" He turned on an odd angle.

I stopped struggling for a moment, thinking of how this could help me. I grinned as I got an idea.

Twisting out of his grip I fell through the portal, it closing as Nightmare lost his mind.

"Frisk? What are you doing here?" Another Sans ran up; one I hadn't met yet.

"Doing here? I just escaped Nightmare. And we haven't met."

"Oh, you're a different Frisk. Okay." He nodded dramatically, looking up to where I had fallen through.

"Well, if Nightmare's looking for you Ink or Error will be here soon, so I'm just going to run off--"

A battle cry sounded from some distance away, Nightmare charging towards me and the other Sans. He yelped and darted away as I turned and ran into the forest.
