Chara opened the door and called to Toriel, "We're gonna go and find some cool stones at the Flower Bed, mom!"

"Have fun children!" She called back from the living room.

Flowey somehow burrowed underneath the floor while Chara and I snuck down the stairs.

As soon as she spotted the long purple hallway, she ran down, giggling. But it wasn't a demonic giggle, it was a genuinely happy giggle.

A smile muscles its way onto my face in spite of my nerves.

We slowly slowed down our running as the speck of Flowey became bigger.

"Here it is!" He gestured to the closed gateway behind him, "Now we just gotta get it open."

Chara and I went for the massive handles as Flowey burrowed back a safe distance away from the door.

We opened one of the doors with a loud creak followed by very small squeaks as we finished opening the door. Footsteps began to echo down the hallways.

"Oh, goodness, it's mom!" Chara commented silently as she looked, awed, at what was beyond the door.

A brisk wind ruffled her hair as she pulled back.

"We can slip through and I can go under," Flowey gestured with his leafy hands towards the door.

Chara slipped through first, followed by me. We pulled the looming door closed together, winded from the effort of trying to close the massive door quickly. There was no yelling, or crying, or opening. Toriel must have thought she was hearing things?

"Wow!" Chara breathed, a poof of fog coming out of her mouth, "This is so cool!"

"Y-Yeah," I answered, hoping that my stuttering sounded cold instead of frightened and angry, "This is cool."
