Everyone finished eating and all went to their cabins for the night, so it was just me, Jaylie, and Kyle. We were doing dishes when I hear the door opening.
"Hi bro, hi dad." I say scrubbing a plate, Jaylie was rinsing off the one o just finished. "Hi Hun," he said. "Hm. Smells like.. Spaghetti?" He said.
"Yep. There's some left for you and jake." He nods and gets out a dish kyle just put up. "Come on! We just cleaned that one!" Kyle yells over dramatically. Jake does the same thing and grabs a bowl from the dish rack. "You two," I point to my brother and dad. "Are doing the rest of the dishes." I say and gesture Kyle and Jaylie upstairs. We all run up the stairs and into my room. "Hey!" Dad yells as I shut the door. "Movie everyone?" They nod. "What movie peeps?" I say. Jaylie gets up and picks Tangled. "What? I love Disney movies!" Says Jaylie climbing onto my bed. Kyle follows as I put the movie in, then I get on my bed as well.
I feel Kyle tense as I just hang loose holding the remote in my hands skipping to the menu. I look up at him with an eyebrow raised. I see him look down at me. "What are you starting at?" He says.
"Why do you feel so tense?" I say booping his nose. "Gah! You caught me! You are a pro at this you know?" He says slinking down in the bed, like me.
I hit play and set the remote down. When we were at the part where nemo meets gill, Jaylie falls asleep.
I hit the pause button and start to set up Jaylie's make shift bed for tonight. "What are you doing?" Kyle asks. "Setting up a place for Jaylie to sleep until her bed gets here, when her bed gets here she will be sleeping in the room next to yours." I say laying the blanket for her to cover up down. I walk over to the bed, to find Kyle scooping Jaylie's 5 pound body up and laying her down on her bed for tonight.
"Thanks," I say. "WANNA finish the movie?" I climb up my bed again. "Yea." He says doing the same and sitting beside me. " I was wondering if, you would want to go, to Starbucks with me after the show tomorrow, just us." He says swallowing like he was super nervous. "Sure, I have nothing else to do." I say smiling. He smiles back at me. My eyes began to shut, I felt him put his hand on mine before I drifted into the darkness of sleep.
