Killian brought Emma into his room and shut the door behind him. He flipped the lock and Emma raised her eyebrow in confusion and curiosity. She knew he would never hurt her. No, he didn't even have a mean bone in his body. But, he held a straight face. He walked over to where she was standing by his dresser, and he pulled her closer to him by her waist. He pressed his lips to hers and moved his hand up to her face, cupping her cheeks. Emma savored the feeling of his lips on hers. She knew that no matter how many kisses they would share, she would never get used to it.

"Not that I'm complaining, but what was that-" She was quickly silenced by another kiss.

"I m-missed you." He whispered on her lips. He pulled away completely, then brought her to his bed. He sat down and patted the space beside him.

She sat down and he put his laptop in her lap. Her eyes glanced over the page. "How to get rid of a stutter? Why would you want to get rid of your stutter?"

"I-I'm s-s-sick and t-tired of it." He took a deep breath. "I... Want to.... Talk w-without... One." He jerked his head. "I'm t-trying, Em-Emma. For you."

She put the laptop down. "I don't care if you have a stutter or not. I told you this. I don't think you're stupid or any less important than I would if you didn't have the stutter or not."

"I'm.... Sick and tired... O-of people... Making fun of m-me."

Emma grabbed his hand and hugged it to her chest. He winced in pain, but tried to hide it. She looked up to his face and saw a look of guilt. She rolled up his sleeve to see fresh cuts littering his arm. "Killian." Her voice broke. She traced the skin around the cuts, careful not to touch them. "Why? Why would you do this to yourself?" She looked back up at him with tears in her eyes.

"I-I-I w-was coming back h-here a-after you left, a-and J-J-Jefferson and the f-football t-t-team d-dragged me to an alley. Th-they said i-it w-w-was b-bec-because of y-yester-yesterday. They s-s-said I d-didn't deserve t-to live." Tears started to form in his eyes and he looked down, avoiding her eyes. "I-I w-w-was a w-waste o-of space."

Emma got off the bed and kneeled in between his legs. He looked down at her with the tears in his eyes. Killian refused to blink, fearing that his tears would fall. But, it soon got the best of him and tears began rolling down his cheeks. She reached up to wipe them away. "Don't ever listen to them. He's just picking on you because he has nowhere to put his anger. No, it isn't right, but he's just jealous because he isn't as amazing as you are." She grabbed his wrists and held them out in front of her. She rolled the other sleeve up to reveal more fresh cuts and older scars. "A bully isn't worth this."

"I f-feel s-so alone." He muttered.

"As long as someone believes in you, you are never alone. I'm right here, Jones, and I'm not going anywhere. Not when I just got to you."

Three Weeks Later...

The adoption went through and Emma was legally allowed to live with Liam and Killian. The guest bedroom had become her room, and she was allowed to decorate it as she pleased. She got a job at the library and was working with the librarian, Belle French as much as she could to try to help Liam out. Her and Killian would go to the library after school each day to do their homework. Emma balanced between her school work and watching for more people to come in so she could help them. But, because the small town of Storybrooke, was so quiet, they hardly had many visitors. Each evening, they would get home before Liam would. Saturday's and Sunday's were days that Emma didn't have to work. Killian was working on his stutter. He would do small exercises to try to get rid of it, and had been able to make small amounts of progress.

Today was Saturday, and both Killian and Emma were having a lazy day. They were both at Granny's for lunch. After eating, Killian brought Emma to the back near the restrooms and suddenly pressed his lips to hers. She moaned in surprise, and he knew he wanted to hear that more.

"Hey." She put her hand on his chest, pushing him off of her. Lust filled his eyes. "As much as I'd love to continue this, we can't exactly do that here. Not with all these people around."

"I-I know. W-w-we c-couldn't d-d-do th-that anyway. I-I've never-" He cut himself off. His stutter making him irritated. His embarrassment didn't help matters much anyway.

"Killian, look at me." Emma said, putting her hand on his arm. "You've never gone that far with a woman, have you?" He shook his head. His cheeks burning. "It's okay. Everyone has their first time. You aren't any different. Do you want to go back to your house? We can do whatever you want."

"L-Liam's n-not home. H-he's wor-working."

"Do you want to go all the way? With me?"

He looked up at her horrified. "I-I'm n-n-not g-gonna force y-you."

"I know." Emma laughed. "I want to. Do you?" He nodded. She stood up from the wall and held her hand out for him. "Then let's go find someplace more private."

They ran out of the restaurant and back to Killian's house. They ran up to the bedroom and he shut and locked the door. His heartbeat was beating fast and loud in his ears.

"I-I d-don't know w-what t-t-to do." He admitted.

She smiled and pushed his leather jacket off his shoulders and let it fall to the floor. "Well, I do." She leaned up to kiss him. "Undress me." She whispered before kissing him. Killian awkwardly pulled her shirt over her head, their lips only separating long enough for it to come off. She worked on the buttons of his shirt next, then pushed it off his body.

"A-are y-you sure about this?" He asked, pulling away.

Emma nodded and reached back to unclasp her bra. She let it fall to the ground and tried- and failed to hold back the giggle when Killian's eyes almost popped out of his head. "I'm sure." She kissed his neck as she unbuckled his belt, then pushed his pants and boxers to the floor. Her pants and underwear were next, then she pushed him to the bed on his back.

"Aren't virgins n-not ab-able t-to h-hold out l-long?" He stuttered nervously.

"No, but it's okay." She crawled on top of him and sank down on him. Killian's moan was music to her ears. He was clenching his eyes and teeth so tightly. "You okay?"

He nodded. "Move, p-please, Emma."

She did as she was told and their moans filled the room. She knew he wouldn't be able to last much longer now, and she was shocked to know that he had held out this long as it was. When their climaxes hit, he released first, with Emma following shortly after. She collapsed onto the bed beside him.

"F-fuck." He whispered, making Emma giggle. She ran her hand down his chest.

"Yeah. I know." She leaned up to kiss him and he responded immediately. She nuzzled her head on his chest.

He suddenly sat up. "We d-d-didn't u-use p-pro-protection!" Emma laughed as he started to panic. He looked down at her with confusion. "What?"

"I'm on the pill. I wouldn't have suggested sex with you if I wasn't already prepared, Killian."

He put his hand to his chest. "You g-gave m-m-me a heart attack."

She laid back down on his chest. "We're gonna have to get up. Liam will be back soon."

Killian wrapped his arms around her. "Mmm, in a-a l-little b-b-bit." Emma hugged him back, loving the attention he was showing her. Despite the warning sirens in her head, she knew that this decision was the best she had ever made.
