Sky's POV

"Come on Sleepy head," Chided the little green orb named Hope as she pulled on his ear. "wake up!"

"Eh," Sky rolled over "but I don't wanna…" he went back to sleep.

"Okay, I hate to do this…" she paused swirling around to create a miniscule storm cloud and moved it over his ear. "But I tried to be nice." She snapped her fingers and the cloud let loose its water and a tiny bolt of lightning shot out zapping Sky in the ear.

"Ah, come on!" Sky jumped up off of his now wet mat lying on the floor and instantly regretted it. He looked at the, no doubt one-way, mirror in his little torture chamber and breathed in as he took in all his new gashes and bruises that had been added to his older collection. 'I could pass as a Picasso painting...' He placed his now tattered black shirt back over his body careful not to rip it further. It was already so destroyed he didn't really know why he bothered with any more. The sleeve on his left arm had been lost about a week ago, and his front was torn to shreds; in fact at this point confetti and streamers would have covered him better. The pendant around his neck was one of the few things they hadn't been able to break yet and they had tried just about everything; it still had a subtle glow to it. His glasses were no longer with him either. Without them he felt exposed and naked. He stared at his golden eyes wondering if they were what the freaks were after.

"Sorry Sky, but you know it's worse when they find you sleeping" Hope fluttered over and sat on his shoulder. He sat back down on the mat with his knees up against his chest and his head in his hands. He breathed heavily as he rubbed his hands up his dirt and sweat coated face and into his long matted hair letting out a sigh.

"I don't even know why they're doing this Hope." He again dropped his face into his hands. "If they want information I can't give it to them. There's nothing of use or interest in which I could say that they could use. Not to mention I don't know anything about this place of if they're telling the truth" the two stayed silent for a long time.

"…" Static broke the silence as the disembodied voice spoke as it did every day for the past month in its grinding hushed gravelly tone. "Let the questioning begin. Today is one of two days you will have the ability to ask us questions. You have twenty questions you may ask." A high pitched beep cut him off.

"Where am I?" Sky started off, choosing carefully the questions he asked.

"Hyrule." yawned the voice. "Nineteen questions left to ask. Choose wisely"

"What regions are in Hyrule? Of which what region am I currently in?"

"There are ten. The mountains, the lake, the castle, desert, ice and snow, Zora's domain, fields, villages, Twilight realm, and the forests. Currently you are being held in one of three forests." The voice started to cough. "Seventeen questions remaining Sky. And don't think I won't count double questions like you just asked. Because I will." The two went on asking and answering for a few minutes more and Sky had almost lost count of how many questions he had left. The voice reminded him he had two questions remaining.

"How long have I been here?" Sky choked through the tears that were by now streaming down his face due to the answer he knew but didn't want confirmed. He felt like he had been captured and held only a few short weeks ago. But the marks on the wall that trailed off and his mind told him otherwise.

"You have been here five months." The voice replied almost sorry for his captive. "Final question." The voice calmly reminded.

"And what-" Sky paused catching his breath and calming himself. "What are my chances of escape or rescue?"

"Your chances." The voice paused. "Are extremely slim, almost non-existent. End of questions."

"But what if-" Sky's voice changed from his slightly deep husky voice to Hope's own higher pitched playful voice. "I've already escaped and you've only seen an illusion for the past hour?" Hope let her magic dropped and the image of Sky that the voice had seen and heard through the one way mirror grew smaller and smaller. Eventually the image shrunk to Hope's natural size.

"I'm surprised you didn't notice earlier." Hope giggled as the one way mirror lit up to reveal the creature behind the voice. Hope screamed with terror as the thing of nightmares appeared before her tiny eyes. For a second her heart stopped and her bright lush green glow faded to that of withered grass. "You-" Hope found a small portion of her weak voice now trapped under her tongue. "They said you were dead. You've – Zelda –, the royal family said you died a long time ago."

"You were wrongly informed." Grinned the two red pinpoints on the other side of the glass. "Now run while you can. Flutter and fly as far as you can before the storm comes to close and it's too late."
