The assembly ended and everyone else in the room started talking to the people around them. The room was only about 1/10 full,but with everyone sitting in the same section it felt really loud.
"So..." I said trying to break the awkward silence between Tripp and I. "Excited to be at Lance?"
"I don't mean to be rude, but I'm not much of a talker. I especially don't like talking to girls who think they're better than everyone else."
I just stared at him in disbelief. I had no idea what I did make him so mad...
" Maybe it would just be best if you walked away and didn't talk me again."
I followed his advice together at my stuff monthly to find someone to talk to. Right when I found a group of girls to talk to, Marissa the girl from before walked up on stage.
" Hi guys. For those of you that I haven't met yet I'm Marissa, head of the welcome committee. Now, the rest of the committee and I are going to leave you down to the dinner hall where we will sit and eat for a little bit. After dinner we'll take you to your dorms were your mentor will help you settle in. Tonight we're just going to do bonding in the dorms, but in the morning instead of the usual morning workout we'll play some icebreaker games to get to know everyone. Over the next three days the rest of the Lance student will be arriving and during that time we are going to be showing you a simulation of what your days here at Lance going to be like. Okay, now that I'm done rambling you can exit through the doors in the back where you will be grabbed by an upperclassmen, and we'll go have some dinner."
