The Headmaster's Speech

Students. Welcome to Lance Academy. I am Headmaster Ambrocious. You are here for one reason, you're special. And you know that you are, you're just afraid. Afraid of what people will say, how they might treat you. But it's ok, Lance is your safehaven. Every student, faculty member, and coach has powers. Yes, I'm referring to that secret of yours, that secret that even your parents and best friends don't know. The same secret that everyone in this very room harbors.

You see, there are flyers, those who can fly. Strechers, those who can strech and thin themselves. Shifters, those who can shift into animals. Readers, those who can read others with a single touch. See-ers, those lucky one's who see the future. And movers, those with telekenetic abilities. We are called Lancers.

Your schedules have already been amde for you and yo ucan find them in your welcome packets. At 6am we have a school wide morning workout. Followed by breakfast at 7. You will procede to your four core academics at various times. Lunch/free time is at noon, classes continue after.

At 1pm you will attend a Lance derived course which as first years is 'History of Lancers.' Followed by an LU level elective in which all six forms are combined. 3pm is your power class and study hall. The school day is over at 5 and you are free to do as you please until dinner at 7. Dinner is not always mandatory, but you will know in advance if we have a school mandatory dinner. During your free time and for dinner you are permitted to leave campus and go into Lillyton as long as you are not alone meaning two or more. You are to be back on campus by 11pm on school nights, and 12:30am on non-school nights, no exceptions. Breaking curfew will have your off-campus rights revoked for an appropriate amount of time.  On school nights there is a lights out policy that goes into effect at midnight.

Your dorms have been assigned to you based on the preference you requested on your application. Boys are in Mac Hall and girls are in Elam Hall. Those are the Lance High dorms, you'll move to the Lance University dorms with more options in your third form here. There are doubles, triples, and quads. Single rooms will become available to you next year in your second form. In your dorm building whe have provided you with kitches and common rooms for your comfort, however they are a privelge and can be taken away. Room assignments are posted in dorm buildings.

Some of you maybe wondering what the difference between Lance High and Lance University. Lance University is third-sixth forms and your college years. Lance High is the program that you're currently enrolled in and is first and seconds, or your junior and senior year of high school.

The Lance High program is designed to prepare you for University, and help you learn to control your powers. Once you enter LU, that's when you will get really in-depth into learning how to use your powers.

Now, it's 6:30, you have some time before dinner and I do not believe that the committee is really for you to be released just yet. So for now, just get to know your fellow formmates. After all, you'll be together for the next six years.
