-Michael's POV-

I walked out of school with Jessica and Logan. The main reason I had wanted to play hooky was so that I could spend time with Jess. Don't get me wrong, Logan was like my brother, which I think suprised Jessie a little because she had never seen him with me. Well, at least she doesn't remember.

The problem is that she has a secret. A fucking big one too. The even bigger problem is that she doesn't know her secret.

Two years ago, Jess and my ex-best friend, Julian, were driving back from a party together. I would've taken her home, but I had to stay a little longer for a few other drunken friends. Julian was pretty tipsy, but insisted on driving anyways.

When he was at a light, he didn't 'notice' that it was red. So he ran it. A car was coming from the left side, the side where Jess was sitting. And the car hit her full force.

She was in a coma for two weeks and three days. It was a miracle that she even woke up at all. But when she did, most of her memory was missing. She didn't remember most of her friends, or me. She only remembered a few people, so her parents sheltered her from the ones she didn't remember. They told her that she moved to a new town, a town that her two best friends just happened to be living in (a load of bullshit) to not 'enforce the stress,' as the doctor put it. I could hang out with her if she began to get to know me... all over again.

People don't really know what happened to Jess, they just knew not to ask. She didn't remember all of her old friends which was devastating. And her parents didn't want her knowing about me, 'too much emotional stress,' also according to the doctor.
Why would I cause her emotional stress? I was her boyfriend of three years. And I miss her. Every day that I saw her, my heart broke a little bit more. But her parents were still enforcing the emotional stress rule, even after two years. I just want her to love me like I love her. I want her to realize that she has other friends, my friends, her 'old' friends. We all love Jess, and I can't get why she just can't remember.

-Jessica's POV-

"Michaelll," I said waving my hand in front of his hazy eyes, "Stop daydreaming."

He looked like he just woke up, "What? Oh, sorry. Where are we going to go first?" he said grinning.

"Well, I was thinking we should just go to our house and watch a movie. After we get food." Logan joined in.

"Lets go." Michael said jangling his keys. "Get in."
