Jessie's P.O.V ~

"Hey," came Michael's voice.

As he sat down beside me, it was almost as it was natural. Not sitting next to each other, but having him next to me. It was weird. When he was next to me, I just wanted to hug him. I think that's just a wee bit odd. Maybe it's a girl thing. It felt natural talking to him, even in the little time I actually had. Believe it or not, a lot could change in 48 hours.

"Hi," I said, feeling a smile creep up my face. "Are you ready for the game tonight?"

"I mean, yeah. I guess," he shrugged, "I honestly think we'll win, but you can't really tell. North-ridge is a good team."

"I guess. I mean, I--"

"Well, well. Look who it is, back together again." Came a voice, no, a sneer, cutting me off.

I turned around, and saw the most annoying girl in, well, possibly the whole world. "Hi... Abby."

"Jessica." her perfect ponytail bounced as she talked. She was a perfectionist, but a god awful person. Too bad our parents were actually friends. "Michael." she said smirking. "So, I guess things worked out for you?"

"Abby, what do you want." He demanded.

"What do you mean?" I asked, thoroughly confused.

"I mean, why did you two separate before?"

"Abby, you might want to stop," Lexi warned, seeing the tense look on everybody's faces.

"We didn't even start before..." I said, now more confused, turning to Michael.

"Maybe you should leave..." Bailey chimed in.

"Oh my god, you you did stop playing dumb. It's as if you don't remember..." she said, clearly ignoring everybody but me."You two were the talk of the scho--"

"ABBY. That's enough. I think you should go now." Michael cut her off, standing up, at the same time a chorus of 'leaves' arose.

"Well, alright. I'm sure I'll be seeing you later." She walked away, looking like she had literally just won a war.

I turned to Michael, "Umm... what was that?"

"It was nothing. Promise. AAbby's just a little wacko, if you get my drift."

"Ah-ha. I get you. I'll see you later?", I asked, getting up from the table.

"Yeah, definitely." I heard as I was walking away.

"Are you sure about it?" I asked, looking at myself, wanting to make sure that I looked perfect for the game. Not too girly, I was going to be hanging out mostly with boys, but then again, I needed to show my feminine side.

Me, Bailey, and Haley had picked out what we thought was the perfect outfit: skinny jeans, a white cropped shirt that said, "Midnight Memories," in black writing, and a black zip-up hoodie. Since my outfit was pretty simple, we decided I needed some basic, but cute, accessories too. My phone case (Small but effective) read, "Starbucks" , and my keychain had my lucky Starbucks charm on it. Presenting your resident white girl.
