Chapter 2

I finally finished working on jeep so I grab the keys and turn it on. The engine roared loudly and I couldn't be happier

"Ma I'm leaving now"

"Have fun Zar"

I pull out of the alley and turn into the street

My father taught me how to drive about 5 years ago, but when I turned 17 we had to sell our car and a lot of things

I remember we had to sell our bed sets and dressers most of our clothes we even had to move out of our house into this tiny shack

But don't get me wrong other people have it way worse

So basically in my current house it has a kitchen with a couch and table and 2 bedrooms one for my parents and one for me we sleep on mattresses on the floor

And there are no doors or painted walls and most of the windows are cracked or broken

I drive to the castle grounds, but before I arrive I see Harris walking down the street

"Yo Harris" I shout he looks around and doesn't notice me

"In the car" I yell Harris's eyes met mine then he scanned the car with shock

"What the hell Zara where did you get this from"

"Remember that car my dad won in that race"

"This is it!?"

"Yup"Harris jumps into the car with excitement

"Zara this is amazing we can go places now travel everything we always wanted to do"

"That sounds amazing Harris but...you need money to do all of that"

The excitement drained from his face when his fantasy was over

"Yeah that's true"

"But....I do have 20 euros"I say "so what do you wanna do,buy take out and watch the game,go to the market buy some things to munch while watching the game"

Harris chuckles "how about some take out I've been dying to try that new burger place in town"

"Okay,wait why were you heading back so early didn't you want to see the princess"

"Oh yeah she couldn't come today she had dress fitting for her coronation"

I can't believe that princess is going to be our queen ,I bet she doesn't even care about the community and the people who are suffering all she cares about is her next trip or getting her nails done

"Katerina that's way too tight" I Yelp through my clenched teeth

"Amerá you have to look stunning on your coronation, we have been preparing for the past 14 months"

"Katerina can I tell you something" I sigh

"Well of course miss Amerá"

"Honestly I'm not excited for the coronation or even my 'marriage' I'm only 19 I want to live a little"

"Miss Amerá you are going to be the queen of Monaco and I've known you my whole life and you have the purest most selfless heart, you care for others more than yourself and so that is the main quality for being ruler" she holds my hand Lightly. "Amerá I think that you deserve the best life has to offer and I hope that you shall marry and man who cherishes you and loves you til the end"
