The youth scours for love
underneath the broken wings
to fix theirselves up with hugs
and beaded seams. But to love is to fall
and to fall is to hurt
and so are those teens
who now wonder their worth. And maybe what's wrong
with our damned world,
is that no one seems to understand that actions are better than words.
And so they scrape knees
and get theirselves hurt,
in this place of dying love
that we call "earth".
