I wake up in Eric's room, Eric is still holding me and is still asleep. I smile and look at the time on the alarm clock on his side table by his bed, the time is 7:30. Crap I think to myself did I tell mom where I was. I see Evie walk out of the bathroom across the hall "Don't worry I called your mom and told her you were spending the night at my place and you were already asleep." Evie whispers to me as I let out a sigh of relief. "thank you" I whisper back to her. She smiles and walks back to Peter's room. I wrap my arms around Eric and situate a little to get more comfortable, and go back to sleep.
Eric wakes me up and we walk out of the room and into the kitchen to get breakfast, I yawn and sit down in a chair at the table next to Eric. Peter is making eggs and bacon for breakfast. Evie is sitting at a bar stool that sit alongside the counter that stuck out of the wall. She was looking out the window at the sun that started to come up. She was already dressed for school; she had went back to her house to get an outfit. "Hey, I brought an outfit for you." she said as she turned away from the window to look at me. "Thanks" I said sounding a bit groggy. Peter grabbed four plates from the cabinet and put scrambled eggs and bacon on each. He sat two on the table for me and Eric and two on the counter for him and Evie. Eric grabbed ketchup from the fridge and put some on both of our plates. We all ate our breakfast, once we were finished we got the rest of the way ready for school. I grabbed my backpack and followed everyone else out of the house and in the car. We sat quietly and listened to the music on the radio on the way to school. We get out and walk in together as a small group.
We go to our classes and start our school day. We have a test in math class today and I was totally stressed. I was so worried that I was going to fail, I looked over at Eric with his reassuring smile and became confident I could ace the test. We walk out of the room as the bell rings and we walk towards our lockers to stop off our books. "Thanks" I told him "for what?" He asks with a kind of confused. "Helping me get through the test." I say smiling he smiles back "Glad I could help." He said kissing me on the cheek. I smile and quickly kiss him on the lips as we finish putting our stuff in our lockers and head to our next class. We get in class and I see Claire, we still talk to one another and are still friends. "Hey Alice" Claire says with a smile "Hey Claire" I say as I smile back at her. A girl comes in behind me and sits beside Claire a little confused "Hey um Claire who's this?" she say pointing to me "Oh sorry, Charley this is Alice, Alice this is Charley" Claire says gesturing to us. We look at each other and shake each others hands. "Nice to meet you" I say to her "Nice to meet you to." she says back to me. We head to our seats as the teacher walks in and start class. After class is over and its time for lunch we meet up with Charley and Claire. As we eat lunch Peter and Evie join us. "Hey guys" Peter and Evie say in unison as they sit down beside us. "Hello" Charley says "Well your a new face, what's your name?" Evie asks to Charley "Oh I'm Charley" she held out a hand for her to shake. Evie took her hand "I'm Evie" she said back, while shaking her hand. "So are you new here or just a new friend in the group?" Evie ask her "Well I just moved here from Texas, and I was hoping that I would be a new friend in the group." Charley said to her "What's Texas like?" Eric asks Charley "Well it different from Indiana, It's really warm and there are alligators there. It's a great place to go to get a nice tan. The weather is different cause the winters are not as cold there. Its pretty nice but I prefer Indiana." Charley explained "That's cool, so do you miss Texas at all?" I said "Not really" she said back to me. We made plans to hang out at Evie's house after school today, then we finished eating lunch and dumped our trays. After lunch we continued on with our school day until after school.
When school was over Eric and I followed be hind Evie and Peter to Peter's car; Charley and Claire would ride in Clair's older sister's car over to Evie's house. We got to Evie's and went to the living room. We desided to watch a movie so Evie put in a movie and we sat on the couch and watched it. Eric and I sat on the couch with Evie and Peter, and Charley and Claire sat on the floor in front of the couch. We popped some popcorn for the movie and got situated again. No on knew what the movie was cause Evie wouldn't tell anyone; it turned out to be Guardians of the Galaxy. Eric and I cuddled as the move started and so did Peter and Evie. We watched the movie until Peter and Evie fell asleep. I looked at Eric and we both thought the same thing. We all grabbed some markers and started drawing. Evie was the first to wake up; she had no idea we drew all over her face. We all laughed at her but she was too tired to care. She woke Peter up and they both went upstairs to sleep in her room. Eric and I went to the guest room; and Claire and Charley slept in the living room. Eric wrapped me in his muscular arms and pulled me close to his chest; we lay in the small bed and I fell asleep feeling safe in his arms.
