Jenya could help but glare at the beautiful woman on Lukas's arm.This girl made any person jealous. Dressed in a golden ombré dress that clung to her body like a glove, she glided around the ballroom with a charming smile carefully greeting each person who dared to meet her.
Jenya felt shabby. She wore the traditional ball gown. She wore the traditional color- a soft seashell pink. She did not stand out, with the exception of her date.
She had heard multiple people around her comment on the new addition to the family- the girl in the gold dress. It was starting to infuriate Jenya.
A large hand gripped her arm, "Are you alright, love?"
Jenya leaned into David, "I'm fine. Maybe this was a bad idea. I shouldn't have done this." She turned around and started to head for the stairs when David pulled her back.
She met his golden eyes, full of determination, "No. You paid me to make him jealous, so let's get the job done. I have something up stairs for you. Change into it and come back down stairs ready to fire him up."
"Are you sure? It's not to late to turn back now." Jenya tried again, her eyes shifting back towards the door.
David gave her a slight push to the stairs, "Just go!"
~~~Ana placed a soft hand on his arm and smiled, "Its only been a few months and yet I feel like it has been an eternity. He is such a charming young man!"
Lukas's mother grinned, "I am so glad to hear my son has behaved himself! We had to work so hard to make him polite towards girls."
Ana gasped, covering her mouth with her hand, "No! Really? He is so charming!"
His father laughed, "Unfortunately, he was a rough kid. He only got along with boys and was so rude to anyone who wasn't a male. Well, except for Jenya. You might be the first woman that he has brought home that is sweet."
Lukas glared at his father, "Thank you for that."
"I never heard anything about his childhood. It is amazing how such a sweet couple could produce such a difficult kid."
Lukas watched his mother's face harden, her eyes narrowing towards Ana, "Well, every parent has there difficult child. If you will excuse us, Ana, I must speak to someone."
"Was it something I said?" Ana asked, frowning.
Lukas shook his head, "No, but very nicely played though."
Ana smiled, "Thank you." Her lips pursed together, "So, we never discussed the reason you started this... fiasco."
Lukas frowned, "I just needed a date tonight. Why did you take me up on my offer?"
Ana's eyes narrowed, "I just had to keep my eye on someone. No questions remember?"
Lukas laughed, "Darling, you are the one who asked the question."
Ana wagged her finger at him, "No, darling, I stated a fact. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go check on something."
Ana reached up, placing her cold hand against his cheek and placed a delicate kiss on his lips.
But he wasn't focused on Ana but the crazy girl walking towards him.
Never in his life had he seen such a tight dress on Jenya. Her dress was a royal blue color with crème lace along the sides of her thin waist and had a slip running up the side of her leg. A slip that was way to high for his liking.
His body tensed as she came closer and closer, her heels tapping against the floor to the beat of her sassy walk.
"Where is your girlfriend, Lukas?" She asked, her red lips parting into a wide, bright smile.
"Stupid, bitchy ex-girlfriend. I taught her way to well" Lukas thought as he glared down at her.
"She had to speak with my mother and I was engaged in conversation with the Prime Minister so we split up. Where's yours?" He spat out, crossing his arms over his chest.
Jenya smiled, her body starting to relax as if she was enjoying this. One perfectly painted finger points to the tall man coming towards them, "David, darling, won't you come here for a moment."
Jealousy coursed through Lukas's veins like a mad rushing river as he looked the man, David, up and down.
Lukas was definitely threatened by this guy. David was too... well, to put it simply, everything he was lacking.
David's large, rough hand shot out to shake with his, "Nice to meet you."
"Likewise. How long has this one been yours?"Lukas asked, gesturing at the lie-filled blond beauty.
"Around Halloween will be our one year. I met her after the Halloween Party in Munich. She was Daisy Buchanan, the girl of the night. We met my parents over the Christmas holidays and she decided it was time I'd meet her parents."
"Great, he's a foreigner." Lukas mumbled under his breath.
Jenya glared at him, "David, would you mind grabbing me something to drink?" She asked, placing her hand on his arm. He nodded and disappeared, leaving Lukas stuck with her. "Where is your girl again?" She snapped, crossing her arms over her chest.
Lukas smiled as he watched Jenya's eyes ignite in dark flames. "Sorry, love, the Prime Minister's wife is quite a talker! You must be Jenya? I have heard so much about you!" Ana said, smiling brightly and curling her arm in Lukas's.
"Oh, have you really?" Jenya asked in an icy tone, "Lukas said you were speaking with his mother. I don't mean to trip you up, darling, but I am just confused."
She was not impressed.
Ana laughed, "Oh yes! I left with his mother, quite a doll that she is, but the Prime Minister's wife whisked me away, much to Mrs. Diederich's delight, I'm sure!"
Lukas did all that he could to keep his jaw from hitting the floor. She barely missed a beat in picking up his story.
"Oh. Anyways, how did the two of you meet?"
Lukas laughed, "Father's Christmas party, of course."
Ana smiled and nodded, "He was in town for a couple of days and we kept in touch for months before this coward finally got up the courage to ask me out."
Jenya laughed, as fake as possible, returning quickly to her glare, "You are young, are you not?"
Please not this. Not today. Please.
Ana's spine straightened, "I am old enough, thank you for your concern."
Cat fight here we come.
"Ana?" Lukas heard David ask, his fine borderline pissed as hell.
"David!" Ana said in a please help me or else I'm dead gone.
Jenya and Lukas met eyes. It finally dawned on them what exactly they had brought to the party.
"You are dating my little sister?" David forced out through gritted teeth.
"You are dating my brother?" Ana gasped.
Lukas had barely any time to react as a fist pounded right into his jaw.
