When Stefan got home last night, his father was sitting in an armchair staring at the fireplace which had heat radiating off of it. He seemed calm. His dad always seemed to try to act this way when he was mad at Stefan, but Stefan always knew that he was angry.

However this time, Stefan saw no anger in his dad, nothing. His dad just looked tiered. He looked way to calm considering what time Stefan was returning.

All his dad had said to him that night was, "I'm going to bed now. I recomend you do too. Goodnight." And with that his dad left to go to bed. Stefan was shocked at first and glued to his spot. When he had recovered, Stefan trudged upstairs wondering was going on in his dad's head.

And that was why instead of doing something productive and fun, Stefan was laying on his bed looking at the ceiling.

That was until his phone beeped indicating he had just gotten a message. Stefan picked up his phone from his night stand and immediately the frown on his face disappeared and changed into a small smile.

Elena: Hey
Stefan: Hey Elena what's up?
Elena: I just wanted to ask if we could hang out and talk

Stefan wasn't particularly in the mood to be around anyone – at least that's what he had thought about a minuet ago – but it her he was talking about here. The girl who made him nervous and confused. The girl with the olive skin who he'd been curious about since day one. The girl who's smile could lighten up anyone's day and make them forget about there troubles. And she wasn't just any girl either. She was Elena Gilbert. Confident and feisty. Determined and kind hearted. Positive and stubborn.

She's the girl I lov–
Not love. Like. She's the girl I like, Stefan thinks after replying to Elena's text with a "yes".

Who are you trying to lie to? Of course you love her, the voice in stefans mind scoffed.

No I don't.

Fine. Maybe you don't. Yet, the voice said.

Stefan shook his head as he pulled his shirt over his head and slid on his shoes.

As Stefan was nearly at The Grill where they descided to meet, he couldn't help the thoughts that came to mind.

Maybe the voice in his mind was right. Or maybe he was going crazy.

Propably the later.

But what if he was falling for Elena?Would they work out or would it all end in flames and broken hearts?

~

Elena sat in a booth in The Grill. When Elena had left her house she had descided that she needed someone to talk to. So she had texted Stefan.

Elena was hesitant at first. What if he was busy? Or sleeping? Or just didn't want to speak to her? However these were just all excuses. The truth was Elena was nervous to see Stefan. She'd never gotten serious with anyone and Elena really liked Stefan. Maybe even loved him. And the idea of love scared her.

Love was unpredictable and crazy. It made you do crazy things. People could fall in love but also fall out of love.

Even if Stefan was having similar feeling to Elena, his feeling wouldn't stay that way forever. Where as to her, her's would only grow stronger. Elena felt like even if she did get on this crazy roller coaster, it wouldn't go on forever. Eventually the ride would slow down. And then stop. Maybe Elena would stay on and take a chance on having another go on the ride, but maybe Stefan wouldn't. Maybe he'd get bored and realise the roller coaster was boring and dull.

And Elena couldn't stand the thought of that.

Damon woke up with a banging headache with a familiar blonde laying on his chest. God she was cute. He looked at Caroline with adoring eyes and sighed softly. Damon had never been in love and never dreamt he would.

He was Damon Salvatore.

He didn't do girlfriends. He was fun, ruthless and daring. Damon was a people's person and knew how to get under there skin as well as to make someone feel special and loved. Maybe that why he was so popular and so many friends.

Caroline almost seemed like the female version of him. But somehow she seemed a little too much. A little overboard. She seemed like the kind of person who caused trouble everywhere she went. She was trouble. But Damon liked trouble.

No. He loved it.

This chapter isn't one of my longest, but I really wanted tot update. It's a bit of a filler chapter but really shows how the characters are feeling. I hope it want too boring and I will try to update soon ;)
