"So are you going to unpack your stuff before the sleep over this weekend?" Luke asks me
I've been putting it off, I know I need to do it but I'm not ready yet I don't know if I'll ever be ready to be honest
"I'll probably just uh move them to the corner" I say hoping he doesn't say more on the issue
He doesn't thankfully
"Are you almost done" Luke whines
I've been doing my homework since I've got home and he's been wanting my attention since I've walk through the door
"Be patient" I smirk
I see him pout
He plops on the bed all dramatic like
"I'm done. happy" I tell him and put my books on the side table
"Yeeeesss" he cheers
"Your like a puppy" I roll my eyes playfully
"Because I'm cute" he winks
"You want to play fetch" I smirk
"Haha" he says unamused
"Well what did you want to do"
"Want to watch a movie?" He asks
"Sure aunt Lora bought this movie the other day it's called the conjuring" I shrug
We go down to the living room and put it on
Turns out it's a scary movie
It hasn't been on a hour and I can't count how many times I've jumps and screamed
"We can turn it off" Luke says to me
"No no I'm fine" I say bringing the blanket to cover most of my face
Somehow I've inched over to Luke almost on his lap
I don't think he minds I see him in the corner of my eyes smiling at me and I think he's blushing a little
"How are you not scared" I say
"Nothing really scares me anymore" he says almost sadly
I put my head on his shoulder
"I'll protect you" he says so softly I don't think he wanted me to hear it
I don't say anything but i try not to smile
