I open my front door and run inside
"Your out of breath" aunt Lora laughs
"Yeah been running" I say and open the basement door
"What are you going down there for?" She asks confused
"Uh just getting something" I smile weakly and head down the basement steps
"Luke! Luke!" I call out
He jumps up "what's wrong?" He asks worried
I go and sit on the couch "give me a second" I say out of breath
I can tell he's trying not to laugh at me out of breath
"Okay I went over to Mary's house" I say
"Yeah? And?"
"I met her grandma" I say slowly
"Okay?" He asks confused
"Her grandmas dead"
"Huh?" He says even more confused
"I met her dead grandma she was sitting on the living room chair" I try not to laugh
"So you really can see dead people" he smiles "but how?"
"I don't know" I shake my head "she was a nice lady though"
"You actually had a conversation with her" he says getting excited
"Yeah for a couple minutes"
"You have a gift" he tells me smiling
"Yeah I'm the kid from the sixth sense"
"No I'm serious your special"
"I don't know about that" I shake my head
"So how do you think you got these I guess you could call them abilities" he says with a smirk
"I guess I was bitten by a dead spider" I try not to laugh at my bad joke
Luke laughs and shakes his head "I'm serious Jess"
"I honestly don't know" I say truthfully
