This Summer...

Night Out

I woke to grandma shaking me on the arm. Her hands were cold, it felt weird on my skin. "Oh my!" grandma said in a nervous tone. "You're burning Riley!" she said. "Riley?!" she said concerned. I could hear her but I couldn't open my eyes or move my body. Suddenly I couldn't hear anything anymore. I couldn't hear, I had a ringing in my ear. I felt something weird. Something wasn't right. I couldn't breathe.

I peeked one eye open. There grandma and grandpa were sitting in front of me. They looked worried. Suddenly I notice I wasn't in my room anymore, I was in the hospital. I sat straight up, I looked around. "Grandma? Why am I here?" I said confused, at why I was here or wearing this ugly rope thing that obviously wasn't covering my butt. " It's ok honey, lay back down." she said calmly.  " But grandma, why am i here?" I asked still waiting for an answer.  " You had a heat stroke honey." she said pushing me back gently and pulling the covers back over.  "Just get some rest." she added. "Ok." I said laying back and closing my eyes. 

I suddenly woke up to feel something warm touching me. It was on my hand. I opened and found Justin right by my side. Grandma must have called him and told him.  "Hey, beautiful." he said softly. "Hey." I said back, sitting up. "So do you like scaring me to death or is that just normal for you." he said, smirking. I chuckled a little. "I don't know, depends on how scared you get." I said. " Well,  how you feeling?" he asked. "I'm feeling better." I replied.

"Good I won't want you to feel bad on our date tonight." he said. "What?!" I said, in shock. "I totally forgot about that tonight, I'm so sorry." I said feeling guilty. "It's ok, but we're still going. " he said with condense. "What?" I said in shock and confusion. "We're going tonight." he said, repeating it. "How?" I asked. "We're going to sneak you out of here." he said, looking like he had a plan that would get us in a lot of trouble. "I can't, they'll find out." I said, not knowing if this was a good idea or not. "Not if we move quickly." he said whispering. He suddenly started helping me out of the bed and walking me out of the room. "Um, where do you think your going?" a doctor said passing us. "Um, well.." I started to say till Justin interrupted. "We're, uh, going to the bathroom, I mean I'm helping her." he said. "Oh, ok, hurry up though." the doctor said walking by. "I can't believe he let us go." I whispered, walking faster. We finally made it out and hopped into his car that was waiting right outside. He took me back to my grandma's to grab nicer clothes. After about 45 minutes, I came down stairs. He was sitting there till he hear me and stood up. "Wow!' he said, his eyes widening. "Thanks, you look handsome yourself." I said trying to get his attention from staring at me. "Sorry, it's just, wow." he said. "I know." I said laughing. After he stopped staring at me, we got in the car and went to a fancy restaurant.  We finally got a seat and sat down and ordered. We talked for hours about backgrounds and what we did on dates. We laughed and had a great time till grandma called and made us come back. 

We got back to hospital. Grandma wasn't too mad since she liked Justin but she still wasn't too happy with us.  "I'm gonna leave." Justin said pulling me aside. "Ok, tonight was great. Thanks so much for taking me out. " I said. "Thanks for making it even better." he said kissing me.  It was so nice. Kissing him was like walking on air or earth with no gravity.  "Goodnight." he said, letting go of my hands. "Goodnight." I said. he left and we finally got to go home. I walked up he stairs to my room like a zombie. I got in pjs and crawled into bed. i instantly fell asleep to the thought of tonight. It was by far, the best night ever.
