I woke up and it was around 5. I realized I had fallen asleep dreaming about, what grandma called him, "My Hero."I decided I find grandma to ask more questions. As I walked to the kitchen, living room, dining room, upstairs, and even the cave I had found out that no one was here. I went to the kitchen to call when I saw a note on the fridge. It read: 'Went to the store with grandpa. Be back in awhile. Call if you need anything. Love you! -Grandma'. Well that's great, I have a horrible headache still and all I wanted was to hear about a really....Ding! Dong! The door bell interrupted me. Who could it be? I didn't order pizza, maybe grandma forgot she had a visiter coming? All these questions kept popping into my head as I walked to the door and opened it. I then looked up and almost died. I finished my sentence... "Hot Guy." I said out loud realizing what I just said and instantly changed. "I mean, I mean hi." I said trying to get the words out of my mouth but it wasn't working. "Hey." He said. He started talking but I immediately dosed off. I felt something, it made butterflies in my stomach and made me smile uncontrollably. I just know he is gonna mean something to me in my life. "...ok?" He said. "Huh?" I said realizing he was talking to me. "I said I came by to check on you. Are you ok?" He asked. "Yea I'm
fine, a little headache but I'm fine." I replied. "Yea I'm so sorry for hitting you, is there anything I can do to help?" He said feeling terribly guilty. Be my boyfriend I said to my self. "Uh, no but you really don't have to apologize, I should be thanking you for getting me home and taking care of me." I said, trying to make him feel better. "Oh it's no problem but really it's my fault, I didn't see you when I spiked the ball and hit you." He said. "How about its both our faults." I suggested. "Ok but I have a better idea, what about me taking you to dinner on Friday night, your choice and it's on me?" He said with a giant smirk on his face. "Sure, I'd like that." I said, holding back the loud screaming voice inside me. "Alright let's say 6? I'll pick you up here?" He asked. "Sure sounds great." I answered. "Here's my number just in case." He said writing it down. "In case what?" I asked, knowing the answer though. "In case you cancel or can't make it." He said with his face wondering why I asked. "Oh trust me, I won't be cancelling." I said feeling myself blush. "Ok bye." He said walking down the driveway to his car. "Bye!" I yelled. He pulled out and drove away. I shut the door. Did I really just say that? Did he just ask me on a date!? I looked at the note he handed me with his phone number but it had writing on the back. It read: 'Can't wait to have dinner with the prettiest girl in town! See you Friday!'. I blushed so hard.I went to the living room to lay down some more and think about Friday. "We're home!" Grandma yelled, knowing if probably be awake by now. "Ah, Riley your awake!" She said putting the groceries down and walking to the living room. "Yeah, grandma you won't believe what just happened!" I said too her excited. "What?!" She said with curiosity. "Well that boy who hit me and brought me here, he came by to check on me and it turns out he's taking me to dinner on Friday!" I said. "Oh my, I only went to get a few groceries! I'm so happy for you honey!" She said almost just as excited as I am. She walked back to the kitchen, me following, and we unloaded the groceries and made dinner. That night I couldn't sleep. I couldn't stop thinking about him. He was....Bing!
