A New Selection (a selection fanfic) {complete}

We just finished putting all the decorations in place and we have all clasped on our beds in our planning room. We have a stack of board games in the corner, a stack of card packets on the coffee table and a box full of balls, racket and other sports stuff. "Tomorrow is the ball so we all got our dresses," Desiree asked.
"Yes," we all replied tiredly. I close my eyes and drift off into a deep sleep.

I wake up to Lilly's alarm that she set up for six in the morning. "We have until seven tonight and yet your alarm wakes us up at six in the morning," Alyssa groans from the bed below me. "What ever," Lilly says from the bed next to Alyssa. Alyssa and Lilly sleep on the two bottom bunks whilst me and Desiree take the top two bunks. There's a knock on the door. "Come in," Alyssa calls. In walks Luke. "Hay girls you look tired," he says. I roll my eyes and turn to face the wall. "You would be if you get woken up at six in the morning!" Desiree yells. I can imagine Luke shaking his head or smiling. I turn to face him and he smiles at me. "Can I talk to you Annabelle?" He asks. I miss and climb down the ladder that Alyssa set up when she got up and sat down on the cream white chair. I walk past Luke into the hallway. But I quickly rush back and grab my rob as its freezing. "Cute," I hear Luke mumble. I tap his nose and he rolls his eyes. "What do you wanna talk about?" I asked. "Um...my Mum and Dad hair told me that at the end of this project I can propose to someone...but secretly until my Dad says that the selection is over...I think it will be easier that way too," he explained. I nod not seeing the point in why he told me but ok. "Ok," I say. "My Mum has your dress," he says. "Ophelia, Hazel and my Mum are gonna help you girls get ready...that means all of elite by the way," he says before hissing me on the lips and walking away. Why did he tell me that he might propose to someone secretly.

It's three o'clock and we're all in America's room getting our nails done. Fun. I haven't had my nails done since my twelfth birthday and that was only because I was friends with a two who moved away. She paid to have our nails painted she said that, that was her present to me. "So girls how was all the planning?" America asks as she's having her hair done. "Stressful," Joy says. "Kinda boring too," Sandra adds. "I personally didn't find anything boring," I say. Sandra glares at me while I blow on my nails hoping it will make them stay on better as they are fake. "That won't do anything," Desiree whispers in my ear. "What ever," I say. "Sorry baby," she teased walking over to Alyssa. Desiree is like a big sister to me, I'll miss her of she ever leaves. Apparently Luke can only keep two girls from each team whine this is over which scares me as Lilly, Alyssa or Desiree could be taken away from me. Well thats if I don't get sent home. Maids rush over to Sandra as one of her nails has fallen off I laugh in the inside but only half smile on the outside. Some maids come through the the door carrying eight bags which I think has all out jewellery, shoes and dresses inside. One maid comes over to me and tells me to sit on the floor so she can do my hair. I nod and sit on the floor.

Two hours later we are all blind flooded just like I planned. We are taken to our rooms carefully of course. When u arrive in probably stood in front of my mirror and then the blind fold is taken off.
