Chapter Thirty-one

"Dad." Nagmamaktol kong ungol dito.

"I said NO princess and that's final. I don't want to hear any of your complaints." My Dad said, firmly.

"That was so unfair." I murmured.

I tilted my head, looking at my Mom with my puppy eyes expression. "Mom?"

My Mom sighed then looked at my Dad and looked back at me. "Sorry Princess.I can't help you this time."

Ahhhh!

Nakakainis.

Tumingin ulit ako sa kinakaupuan ni Daddy. "Pero Dad ang sabi mo kagabi kay Alex, binibigay mo na samin yung blessing mo kaya bakit kelangan mo pang kunin yung kotse ko?"

Nag buntunghininga muna si Daddy bago nito binaba ng tuluyan yung binabasa nitong newspaper.

"Pero hindi ibig sabihin non nakalimutan ko na yung kasalanan mo. Ang usapan natin dati pag nagka boyfriend ka sasabihin mo agad sakin? But what did you do?" Umiiling-iling na tanong ni Dad.

"Kung hindi pa sinabi sakin ni Alexis, hindi ko pa malalaman." Disappointed pang dagdag nito.

Guilty.

I slumped my shoulders in defeat.

I sighed. "I'm sorry." I whispered, looking shameful.

Ang bilis naman kasi ng pangyayari bukod pa sa wala naman talaga kaming relasyon ni Alex at kung hindi pa nga sinabi ni Ade kila Mama at Mama Rose yung "relasyon" namin, wala din naman akong balak sabihin sa kanila.

Oh Wait!

"Did you say Alex? I thought it's Mom who informed you?!" I asked, frowning.

I looked at my Mom's direction."Mom?"

My Mom shrugged her shoulders. "Alam na ng Daddy mo bago ko pa nasabi sa kanya."

Sinabi ni Alex kay Dad?

But why?

Pinag pretend lang naman nya ko, di ba?

Natigil yung pag iisip ko ng marinig ko yung malakas na busina ni Ade sa labas.

"That's my service." I whispered, rolling my eyes.

My Dad shook his head while My Mom chuckled.

"It's not that bad, Princess.Think about it this way, you'll save your car for further damage." My Mom said, voice dripping with amusement.

My face heats up. "Mom." I said, groaning.

I'll never hear the end of it!

My Mom and Dad burst into laughter. "We love you, Princess." They both said in unison.

My Mom kissed my cheek while My Dad kissed my forehead.

"Love you both." I whispered, kissing both of their cheeks.

Tumayo ako ng tuwid at lumayo ng konti sa kanila.

"Alis na ko Dad, Mom at naiinip na yung sundo ko." Amuse kong paalam sa kanila ng marinig ko ulit yung busina ni Ade sa labas.

Kinuha ko yung bag ko sa counter at naglakad na palabas sa dining room.

"Take care."

"Tell Ade to drive safely."

I heard them scream before I closed the front door behind me.

Binuksan agad ni Ade yung passenger seat ng makita ako nito.

"Morning."

"Morning baby doll." Medyo matamlay na sagot nito.

"What's wrong?" Nagtatakang tanong ko dito habang kinakabit ko yung seat belt ko.
