Isabella's POV: 1 year earlier

"You owe me ten dollars." Ana, my older sister told me.

I laughed as the smell of pizza began to spread through out the house while we walked in.

"I promise I'll pay you back." I said while walking up the stairs of Jane's house,

She was my best friend and today was her birthday, her favorite was pineapple pizza. Even though everything that was happening and all this hell we're being put through, we need to take as many good times as we can get.

"Janie!" I called reaching the top of the stairs, my smile quickly faded as I looked in front of me.

"Janie?" I asked, my voice turning worried.

The place was destroyed. Broken glass, knocked over books and furniture covered the floor. I cautiously stepped around it towards Jane's room. I could hear Ana behind me as I hesitantly pushed open Jane's bedroom door.

My eyes widened and a scream left my lips. Jane laid on the carpet covered in blood and slashes on her body.

"Jane! Janie?!" I yelled rushing to her,

"Oh my god! Is she alive?!" Ana asked freaking out and turning away,

"Janie? Janie, I'm here!" I called out to her while grabbing her onto my lap,

Jane groaned, her expression turning painful as she whined.

"Ana! Ana! I need you to go call 911, call 911! Go!" I screamed, she ran back down the steps as I tried to help Jane.

"Janie, can you hear me? Janie, you need to stay with me. Okay, stay with me." I called, my eyes tearing up as my heart pounded against my chest.

She whined and grunted, she must be in so much pain. I began sobbing while emotions poured from me. Everything was spinning out of control and I hated that I couldn't do anything but cry and hold her.

"Janie, I'm so sorry. This is all my fault." I cried,

"No, no, it's not. I-I'm so sorry for what I did. I'm so sorry...you're my best friend." She mumbled tearing up,

I heard a loud thump from downstairs that startled me. I looked towards the stairs seeing nothing.

"Ana?!" I called out,

"Isa, it's him. It's him, you have to go. He's after you next. He's still here, please go." She cried, her voice cracking.

"No, I'm not leaving you. I'm not leaving you." I promised her, I kicked the bedroom door shut and reached up to lock it.

"No, no." She sobbed,

"I'm staying right here, stay with me please." I begged,

"No, it's okay. It's okay, go." She pleaded,

"I'm not gonna leave you Janie." I sobbed, she began coughing and cringing as I held her.

"Janie? Janie, stay with me. Stay with me." I repeated, she coughed harder as she groaned.

Her body beginning to relax as her eyes fluttered closed.

"Jane?" I whispered, her body slowly going limp.

I froze falling back against the wall as her body fell off my lap, her blood covering my clothes. I couldn't breathe, I couldn't think. I was frozen. Then it hit me.

She's gone.

I let my head fall back against the wall as I sobbed.

"Don't leave me, Janie." I begged sobbing, I stared at her body.
