Isabella's POV:

It took time but we finally heard echoes of sirens in the distance. My body ached and my throat burned from my screaming.

I knew I was in for more though so I tried not to let my exhaustion get to me. They still had to stitch me up and pull the glass shards out of my knuckles.

I felt relieved that Adrian kept his eyes closed as the torture continued.

But even so, I know he heard everything and that wasn't much better.

"They're here." Adrian said in relief,

He would need some assistance too, his wrists were red and covered in dry blood from his constant yanking.

I wish he hadn't been at my house then instead he would just have been worried about my whereabouts versus hearing me scream for an hour.

Suddenly the door knob to the room started jiggling, but it was locked.

"We're in here!" Adrian called,

They started slamming against the door before it bursted open. Cops flooded in along with Andrews but one look at us and they knew there was no point searching.

Quickly, Andrews ran to Adrian and started to cut his ties off.

"No, get Isabella first!" He snapped,

Andrews didn't listen and instead another person cut me free. As soon as Adrian was free he rushed to me.

I hadn't gotten up from the chair yet and I was scared too. I knew the pain would hit harder the second I moved.

Adrian carefully helped me to my feet and I cried out of pain as he touched my back. I squeezed my eyes shut to prevent tears.

He didn't let me walk and instead picked me up into his arms.

"The ambulance is outside, let's go." Andrews said,

I screamed when they gave me shots and stitches in my back. It was the most painful out of it all.

My knuckles and burns were nothing compared to the slashes on my back. Tears ran down my cheeks as I continued to endure the pain.

Adrian stood by my side holding my hand the whole time and refused treatment until I was done. Even when I begged him. Jacob had hit him with a glass bottle on the back of the head when he knocked him out. His wrists were badly bruised and bleeding too.

"Okay, you're all done. The wounds are clean and closed." The doctor said, as she gestured for me to lay back.

And I did so, I relaxed my body. Finally able to just be okay.

I glanced at Adrian and my heart fell. He hasn't really spoken since we left and he wouldn't look at me. He simply stared straight in front of himself with a hard tense expression.

"Adrian." I said softly,

"I'm fine." He stated,

His voice was strained and he looked angry, he was so tense. I felt guilt way on me. Guilt for getting him involved.

"You said." I reminded him,

He sighed and closed his eyes, seeming to try to relax. A second went by before he opened them again and got up from his seat.

He quickly kissed my forehead before nodding and going to talk to a doctor.

What were we supposed to do? Just accept that Jacob would eventually kill us all?
