After taking a shower, he's downstairs. Shelby's on the couch—Keanu barking like crazy.

          "What's up boy?" Braden asks.

Keanu stands at the door, growling. Braden watches him, a little confused before opening the door. Keanu takes off running the moment the door opens, barking.

"Dammit Keanu," Braden sighs. He runs to the laundry room, pulling on a pair of shorts and his shoes before running out the door after him. Keanu stops for a second to sniff around before running off down a side street. Braden curses the K-9 out in his mind as he continues to yell for him. Keanu eventually stops outside a small house.

"Damn you Keanu," Braden grips his collar, a little out of breath.

          The dog sits down.

"I will drag your ass back to the house."

A growl escapes his chops, looking at the house.

          "What has gotten into you?"

Braden sees a guy come out of the garage and walk towards the house, Keanu starting to bark again. He takes off running as Braden yells grabbing his collar. Keanu growls at him. The puppy continues to move, growling and jumping around. Keanu loose once again.

"Shit," Braden follows him. Keanu sniffing around the garage. "Keanu, let's go," he keeps pulling.

"What the hell?" the guy walks back out.

"Sorry man, my damn dog just took off running, and I'm trying to get him out of here. He's intrigued by your garage."

"I know you. You're Shelby's husband. What the hell are you doing here?" he walks towards Braden carrying a baseball bat.

"Dude, I just told you. I was chasing after my dog," Braden backs away.

          Keanu growls, protecting Braden.

"Get the hell back man. He'll bite you."

Keanu growls and stands in front of Braden, on the verge of attacking the man.

A local police car pulls up, one of Braden's good friends. Keanu finally lets Braden tugs him towards the house.

"What's up?" his buddy asks, getting out of the police car.

"Nothing," Braden says, the guy walking back into his garage. "That guy knows Shelby and is a friend of her ex-boyfriend. Got all pissy because asshole over there took off running," Braden nods to his dog. "I have no idea what's gotten into him. Do you mind giving us a lift home, so he doesn't take off running on me again?"

His buddy nods, opening the back door as Keanu jumps inside. His buddy driving the pair back.

Walking inside, he opens the back door as Keanu goes outside to the fenced-in backyard. Braden slams the door, Keanu knowing his master is mad at him. Shelby watches, not sure what's going on.

          "Sorry," he apologizes.

          "For what?"

          "For slamming the door."

"Don't be sorry," Shelby smiles. "But he doesn't know if you're mad at him or not."

          "Oh trust me he knows."

          "Hungry?" she asks.

          "Starving," Braden winks.

Shelby nods smiling, getting off the couch and finishing dinner. Braden walks to the fridge, getting out a beer and sitting down.

"So how does it feel not going to work anymore?"

Shelby shrugs, setting a bowl of salad in front of him before continuing to cook. "Weird. It's like I have nothing to do now that school's done and I'm just waiting for finals."

Braden smiles as he begins to eat the salad, watching her continue to cook. A few minutes later Shelby places a plate of chicken parmesan with pasta in front of him as well.

"Babe, this looks and smells delicious."

"I have more time to cook now," she grins, sitting down across from him.

"I think I'm gonna like this," Braden winks.

"And we'll both put on 100 pounds."

"I work out at work, and you do yoga. I think we'll be fine," Braden states.

"You should come to yoga with me."

"Oh yeah? Seeing your firefighter husband doing yoga would get a good laugh."

"I think it would be good for you."

"So I can be as flexible as you," Braden looks over.

"No, because it's relaxing," Shelby laughs.

"Fine. One," Braden holds up his index finger.

"Do you want to come tonight?"

          "Sure."

"We have to leave at seven."

          "Okay," he smiles.
