Normally you sleep soundly, but the thunderstorm outside kept you from sleeping. You begin to doze then another BANG keeps you from doing so. This happens over and over again for most of the night. You give up and stare at your ceiling. You also look around your room, eyes moving from objet to object. Your eyes finally rest on your mirror.
Suddenly a flash of lightning and the mirror lit up. For a millisecond the mirror reveals you and dozens of faces, silhouettes within its frame, mouths open and eyes blackened. They stare out at you, their blank black eyes fixed on your face.
Then they're gone. Did you really see that? You don't sleep for the rest of the night. In the morning you remove the mirror from your house and into the dumpster. It didn't matter if the vision you had seen was true or false, you needed to get rid of that mirror. In fact, you get rid of every mirror in your household.
Weeks later, it seems like an old nightmare. You are spending the day at a friends house, and you went in the bathroom. While you are in there the faucet starts to run without you touching it. Taken aback by this, you try to rule things out because of your paranoia. The water starts to steam and clouds the mirror. You watch with the most fear you have felt as an invisible finger writes: "Please return your mirrors. We miss watching you sleep." You collapse onto the floor.
