Hurry up...

Violet

I woke up to the sound of pouring rain.I picked up my phone and it was already 9.30 am.WHAT???I should be at work  now!I got off my bed  and run to the bathroom.I brushed my teeth as fast as I could and after that I applied a bit of eyeliner.I had my phone on my pocket so I put some music  to chear me up.

Music  plays a big part in my life,I can’t live without it.Every time I’m sad,something that happens  often enough to ruin my whole day,I put music really loud and sing along with the singer.It helps actually.It keeps me calm for a few hours.

‘’Death Valley’’ by Fall Out Boy is playing while I’m getting dressed.I put on my purple jeans and my Pikachu shirt.I grabbed my bag and my jacket and walked down the corridor.I opened the fridge but there was nothing inside.Only a banana and tea.I’ll go to the supermarket later…I thought while I was eating the banana.I looked at the clock on the wall and it was already 9.45.Before I got out of the house I grabbed an umbrella and locked the door!

 I got into my car and put on music.About 10 minutes later I had finally arrived.The rain stopped and now the sun had came up.I got into the coffe shop and hang my jacket in the coat hanger near the door!

I saw Meghan,the girl that is serving the customers,taking order from an old couple.I run towards her and hugged her.

‘’Hey,where have you been?Chris has been asking for  you all day.’’

Chris is our boss.I think he is in the age of 45 or something.He is nice and he pays well too.

‘’Well,I didn’t hear the alarm.Sorry…’’ I said.The old couple was looking at us confused.

‘’Hello!Sorry for interrupting you.”I said.

‘’No,it’s ok sweetie.’’the woman said with a huge smile across her face.

The way she smiled…She reminded me of my mother at an older age.I started to tear up so I run to the bathroom.I don’t want people to think I’m weak.I’ve went through a lot of things but that’s the last thing I want.

 After a few minutes of sitting at the cold floor I felt better.I got up and opened the door.And there he was…Chris.He was looking at me with an angry look at his face.I have never seen him like that.I thought it would be nice to apologise.

‘’Look,I’m sorry.I’m really sorry,it’ll never happen again I promise…’’ I said with the hope of not getting fired.

‘’I hope so…’’he said and walked away.

 I put on my headphones and  started listening to music.Hours past really fast.It was already 20.00 pm and I guess in almost an hour I can leave.I heard the door opening .Emily picked a seat near the window and smiled at me.I waved and went to get her order.

Me and Emily have been  best friends for almost 7 years.We met at school,at the art class.She has short blonde hair and green eyes.She helped me a lot after my parent’s death and I would do anything for her.

‘’Well,hello there Miss.What can I get you?’’ I said in my Pikachu voice.

She laughed and said ‘’A hot cup of chocolate please!’’

‘’I’ll be right back.’’ I said with a huge smile across my face.She really makes my day better.

I made the chocolate and walked towards her table.She didn’t hear me coming so I found the best way for her to notice me.I silently went near her ear and screamed as loud as I could.

‘’Hey,what the heck????’’she screamed.The people sitting near her table kept staring at us but I didn’t care that much since I  felt so comfortable doing silly things with Emily.

‘’Well sorry you seemed lost in your thoughts.’’ I said while I was holding back my laughter.

 She gave me an angry look but then she started laughing.I was laughing so much that I couldn’t breathe.I looked around and saw Chris looking at me.I’m in trouble! I thought and put my hands in front of my mouth so I could finally stop laughing.

‘’So what are you doing today?’’Emily asked and looked outside the window,tapping her fingers on the table.

‘’Nothing actually.I have to wash the dishes and then I’m all yours baby…’’I said licking my lips.

‘’Haha well you never asked me if I want you to be mine.''she smirked and took a sip out of her hot chocolate.

‘’I’ll be back in a few minutes.’’I said and walked over to the sink.I started washing the dishes as fast as I could so I could leave sooner.

Once I had finished I went to talk to Chris who was talking with a young woman.

‘’Hey,I’ve finished.Can I leave now?’’I said waiting nervously for his reply.

‘’Yeah you can go.’’ he seemed like he was not paying attention so I didn’t say anything else.

I grabbed my jacket and went outside.Emily was waiting for me near my car.And then I remembered I had to go to the supermarket .Luckily it was 5 minutes by foot from here.

‘’Here,take my keys.I have to buy food.Go to my house and I’ll be back in an hour.’’I threw her my keys but she didn’t  catch them.

 ‘’You suck.’’ I said to her.

‘’Not as much as you’’she said in her baby voice, got in the car and drove away.

It was getting really cold and I started shivering.I looked up to the sky and the clouds were dark grey.

Wait how am I supposed to go back?I thought.

 I looked around but there was no one there.The only thing I could hear was the whisper of the  wind…
