Chapter 28

Cyrus

The bext morning i was woken up by the someone mindlinking me causing a headache to arrive. Opening one eye i glanced at my phone to check the time and saw that it was only 4am. I groaned and flopped back down only to be woken up by a knock on the door.

"What?" I grumbled
"Dude did you hear what giovanni just said?" Vincent asked, stepping in.
"No. All i heard were a lot of noises," i said, sitting up.
"Its kinda important and he's holding a pack meeting right now," vincent said.
"At 4am in the morning?" I asked
"Yeah. Its something about the packs," he said.
"I will be right down," i said.

Vincent nodded and then left my room. I sighed and ran my hand through my already messed up hair. Putting on a pair of slippers and yesterday's clothes i walked down the stairs towards the backyard where giovanni was. Alexis was by his side and he looked stressed out.

"Hey man. Whats up?" I asked, as i walked upto him.
"The hunters thats what," alexis said, softly rubbing his arm.

I felt a wave of jealousy run through me but quickly shook it off. They were mates after all. They needed each other.

"What did they do this time?" Jake asked, yawning.
"They are starting to kidnapp girls and kill them," giovanni sighed.
"Seriously?" I asked, my eyed wide.
"Seriously bro. I dont know how they found out but its like they know about each one of us," giovanni said.
"You are saying from our pack?" I asked.
"Ours as well as other packs. I had a call from Starlit pack saying that a few of their girls were kidnapped for several days and then found at the edge of their borders," Giovanni said
"But who would kill innocent girls?" Vincent asked.
"I dont know," gio sighed.
"Whats the age of the girls?" Jack asked.
"They are teenagers. And the Alphas of all the packs are worried that it might lead to war with the hunters," gio sighed.
"We'll pull through this," jack said.

The pack gathered on the ground. Teenagers were grumbling about waking up so damn early in the morning while the adults were on high alerts.

"Silence," giovanni called in his alpha voice.

The crowd silenced once they heard their Alpha talk.

"As you all know we have a dire situation in our hands. We dont know who's behind this but we do know that they are hunters," giovanni began.

The crowd started speaking again amongst themselves and giovanni called them to attention.

"They are taking young girls into custody and killing them afterwarss so i highly suggest that you should be highly aware of what is going on around you. Keep your children nearby. Oh and we'll be starting our training sessions from today," giovanni said.

The crowd dispersed as giovanni finished speaking. I turned to him and said, "i know this is a bad time but i was wondering if we should introduce lizzy into the pack?"
"Sure thing cyrus. It will make it easier to interact with her," alexis said, smiling.
"Yeah. Besides we have already accepted her as part of the gang," vincent said.
"And the pack," jake added.

Smiling at them i made my way back to my room. I knew it would be useless to sleep so i got ready for school. By the time i was ready the sun had risen up in the sky.

"You coming with us?" Vincent asked
"Nah. I will take my own car," i said
"Ever since he found lizzy he's been spending his time with her," blair said.
"Sorry," i said sheepishly, rubbing the back of my head.
"Its ok. She's your mate. Have you told her parents about who you really are?" Gio asked.
"Her mom knows but not her dad," i said.
"Ok fair enough," alexis said.

I got into my car and drove to lizzy's place. I didnt want that douche to ever be near my mate again! As i got to lizzy's place i saw Cole's car in the driveway. It got my wolf mad all over again and i knew that i had to intervene. I knocked on the door and waited for someone to open it.

"Morning mrs. Sanderz," i smiled.
"Morning dear. Come in. Xander isnt in a very good mood," she said.
"Why?" I asked, even though i had a pretty good idea.

I could hear the shouting going on in the living room and made my way there. I saw Cole and Mr.Sanderz having an argument with Lizzy to the side. She quickly turned her face to me and ran upto me.

"Hey," i smiled down at her.
"Hey," lizzy smiled.
"Whats going on?" I asked
"Dad's angry," she said
"He should be," i said, glaring at Cole.

I watched as cole turned to face me. He looked annoyed as he stalked upto me. I pulled lizzy behind me and stood in front of her in a protective stance. I didnt want him to hurt her again.

"You think you won this right?" Cole sneered.
"I dont think. I know," i said smugly.
"Lizzy is mine and only mine!" He exclaimed.
"Cole this behavior is out of the question. Maybe i thought wrong about you," mr. Sanderz said.
"You cant go back on your word! You promised dad!" Cole exclaimed, turning around to face mr. Sanderz.
"I did but if it meant that my little girl isnt happy with you then i would happily break that promise," mr. Sanderz said.

I got an idea as to how to make cole fuck up real bad. Lets see Cole who wins this fight.

No major change has occured in this chapter. A bit small i know! But i am going to be ending this book pretty soon! Just a few more chapters left! :)
