Lizzy

"One hot chocolate and two cappuchinos please. Oh and one cinnamon roll," Ash said.

We were currently sitting in one of the cafe's called "Cofffees seduction". It was one of the most famous cafe's in Desmond. My hometown. Population included a total of 100,000 people in this place. Quite overcrowded if you ask me. And everybody knew everybody else. Nosy people if you ask me.

"Did you know that a whole new batch of people have settled in?" Ash asked
"Huh? Batch?" I asked
"You say that like you are talking about a freshly baked chocolaty donuts," Sabby giggled.
"Oh shut up you," Ash glared playfully at her.
"Who are they?" I asked.
"Dont know. But they are quite rich people. Brought whole of the outskirts i hear," Ash said
"Seriously?" I asked, mouth hanging open.
"Close that mouth of your Lizzy. You might catch a fly," Sabby said.
"You sure are in a playful mood, arent you?" I asked
"I am feeling happy," Sabby shrugged.
"But if they were rich why didnt they buy any appartment or house in the city?" I asked
"Dunno. They wanted to live together i guess. So they settled for the outskirts," Ash said.
"Thats a bit strange dont you think? I mean all thats on the outskirts is the forest," i said.
"I know right? I mean who would want to live in a forest?" Ash asked, emphasizing the word forest
"Maybe they are nature loving people," Sabby said
"Or maybe they are just weird," i said.
"Hot chocolate?" The waiter asked.

We went silent as the waiter placed our food in front of us. The cinnamon roll was delicious yet too big for one person to eat. We were about to dig in when the door opened catching our attention. I looked up to see Cole, Ryan and Taylor enter the shop.

"I swear this guy is like full out stalking you," Sabby said.
"Yeah and he doesnt even hide it," Ash said.
"Oh come on. He's just a friend," i said.
"Yeah. A friend who stalks," Ash said.
"He's looking for you Liz," Sabby bumped her shoulder with me.

I was sitting with my back to the rest of the cafe. I turned around slightly and saw Cole looking around the place. I quickly turned back around.

"See?" Ash asked smuggly.
"Oh please. There's nothing going on," i said, taking a sip of my hot chocolate.
"Hey girls. Lizzy. Fancy seeing you here," Cole asked.

Sabby coughed while Ash gave me a pointed look.

"Oh hey Cole," i said, smiling up at him.
"Mind if we sit with you?" Cole asked.
"Sure," Ash said

We were sitting in a sort of booth that aloud us some extra space.

"This cinnamon roll looks delicious," Ryan said
"Keep your hands off this," Ash said
"Oh come on. Just a little bite?" Ryan asked
"Why dont you order yours?" Sabby asked
"Whats the fun if i cant have someone else's food?" Ryan said grinning.
"Geez, here have a bite," Ash sighed.

"How are you?" Cole asked
"Good," i smiled
"You know dad is having his anniversary party this weekend," Cole said
"Thats cool," i said
"You would come right?" He asked
"Sure i guess," i said
"Of course Lizzy would come," Ash said
"She wouldnt dare miss it," Sabby added, with a sly smirk.

I glared at the both of them. I knew what they were trying to do. Set me up with Cole. But i didnt like him that way. Sure we were best friends and all but that didnt meant that i liked him as more than a best friend.

The boys ordered their own food and we ate ours talking between food.

"The new kids are pretty rich," Taylor said
"Thats what we heard," Ash said
"They must be stuck up. Rich kids are always stuck up," Cole scoffed
"But you cant just judge anyone at first glance though," I said
"Yes we can. They are those kind of families who think they own the place and whatnot," Cole scoffed
"How can you say that when you havent seen them or know them," i said
"Spoken like a true voice of reason," Sabby said
"Yeah well but you cant trust newcommers. Maybe they ran away or something," Ryan said
"Thats absurd," i said
"Think about it. If a family is this rich that they bought a whole damn outskirts of Desmond they could be powerful," Cole said

The waiter arrived with the boys food.

"Yeah. I mean why would a family that big leave their home place for a new one?" Taylor asked
"Like it doesnt make sense. An entire family shifting places at once. Especially the size this big," Ryan said

We finished eating our food and the waiter brought us our bills. We were about to take out the money when Cole said, "no we'll pay for your food."

"Really?" Taylor asked
"I thought we were paying for our food," Ryan said
"Its ok. We didnt come together anyway," i said, feeling a bit awkward.
"You know my dad wont like it when he knows i let you pay in my prescence," Cole said
"But-
"Oh Lizzy let them pay," Ash said
"The guys saved our money," Ash said, once we were in the car.
"Yeah but i kinda felt bad," i said
"Me too. We should have paid for our own food. It wasnt right," Sabby said
"Oh well we could repay them another time," Ash said

Driving out of the cafe i looked at the sky watching as the sun set in the sky giving way to the night.
