Chapter 12: A Secret Revealed

Daring's P.O.V.
The next day, I walked into the tea shop where Rosabella was. We had agreed to meet here again.
When I reached her, she smiles. "Hey, Daring! You ready to go?"
"Yeah." I said smiling back. Being around her made me happy, I loved that.
We walked outside and into the forest, it was okay since it was day time. We walked far into the forest. We talked about random stuff. That's how it usually goes when we walk together.
At one point, we stopped and talked more. Even though I was listening, I couldn't help but stare at her. She was so beautiful, so cute, I love her...
"Daring? Daring? Are you listening?? DARING!!"
I jump and gasp a little. "Sorry, Rosabella, I just, zoned out I guess."
She laughs. "I know. You were staring at me. You were smiling a little."
I feel my face heat up. "Uh, sorry?"
"It's okay."
We hear a loud noise. Both of our heads jerk up. We see nothing. We both sigh in relief.
We look around at the forest. It was truly beautiful.
"It's beautiful isn't it?" Rosabella said, practically reading my mind.
"Yes. But not as beautiful as you."
She pulls me in and kisses me. I kiss her back.
We continue for who knows how much longer when we both hear a gasp. We snap our heads up and see Apple.
Her face was in horror and paler than usual. Even her pupils were smaller.
Rosabella and I stared until Apple finally said, "What are you two doing?!"
Rosabella takes a step towards her, she takes a step back.
"No! Don't come near me!! I don't, I don't understand!"
Her eyes welled with tears. "I thought you were going to follow your destines. And now, I'm seeing this?!"
She referred with her hand to us. I felt bad.
"Apple, we're sorry, we just-"
A tear rolled down her cheek. "I know what happened in the dragon games, but I thought we would still go through with it, Daring." She said, looking at me. I felt guilty.
"But I guess not." She said, more tears running down her cheeks.
Then, she turned and ran deeper into the forest.

Apple's P.O.V. (Special)
I run back towards where my best friends forever after, Briar, and Ashlynn, Raven was with Dexter today. I can't believe what had just happened!
Once I reach them, I quickly wiped my tears away. I said a quick hello, they turns their heads towards me.
They look shocked. "Apple? Are you okay?" They asked.
I struggled to fight off tears. "Yes. I'm okay. Rosabella is busy right now. She can't come with us." I said, smiling.
"Oh! Okay, we'll just go by ourselves them." Said Ashlynn.
"Yeah. I guess so." I say.
But before we went too far, I heard my name being called. I turn and its Rosabella.
"Apple? Can I talk to you, alone?" She asked nervously.
"Sure. I'll be right back!" I say, looking at Briar and Ashlynn. They nod. "We'll stay here."
Rosabella takes me into the forest so no one can hear us. When we reach a certain spot, she stops and turned towards me.
"Apple, I'm so sorry about what I did, I just-"
I feel more tears sting my eyes. "What?! You just wanted to take my destiny?? Because that's what it looks like to me."
She steps back. "Apple! I said I'm sorry! I just, how I feel about him-never mind."
I stepped towards her. "What? I'll try not to get mad at you, tell me."
She sighs and looks at me. "I'm uh, I'm in love with him."
I stepped back again, shocked. I feel my heart in my ears, I tried to relax.
"Y-you are??" I asked. She nods, looking at the ground. I swallowed hard.
Then, I realized that I should let it go. They seemed happy together, and I didn't like Daring that way, but she does. I hug her. She hugs back.
"I'm so sorry Apple." She whispered.
"Shhhhh. No need to be sorry." I said. We pulled apart.
"So you're okay with this?" She asked.
I smile. "Yes! You two are happy together, I wouldn't want to hurt either of you, besides, I don't like Daring that way, so you should be with him!"
"Oh Apple! Thank you!" She exclaimed, hugging me again. I hugged her back.
But while we hugged, we heard a familiar laugh. We look up and see Duchess!
"My my, Rosabella! Made a move on Daring huh?" She asked.
"Duchess ! Please! Don't tell people!!" I hear Rosabella plead.
She only laughed. "Too bad. I already recorded the whole conversation. I'll have it up in no time!" She said.
Then, she turned into a swan and flew away. Once the sound of wings was gone, it was replaced by Rosabella's panic....

Maddie: Oh my! Will everyone find out now?!

Brooke: Well, what happens is-

Male narrator: Brooke!! Don't spoil!

Brooke: (sigh) Sorry dad!

Female narrator: You'll see Maddie.

Maddie: Okay! Gotta go make tea now!!!!!
