Chapter 20: Asking Rosabella

Hi everyone! I'm so sorry for the long wait, I've just been very busy with school, family, and writing another book, I couldn't resist waiting any longer.

Daring's P.O.V.
I walked to the castleteria hoping to find Rosabella. Today was the day I'd ask her to be my girlfriend.
I walk into the castleteria, I didn't see her. I looked around a bit before finding my sister.
"Darling, have you see Rosabella?" I asked her.
She looks at me. "She wasn't feeling well this morning, she looked tired too."
"What?! How come I didn't know- why didn't you tell me sooner??" I asked, worried about her.
"Because I didn't see you. I knew you would over react."
"I am not over reacting!!" I said defensively, crossing my arms. But I knew she was right.
Darling sighed. "She's in her room if you want to see her-"
I didn't hear the rest, for I had already ran out the door.

Rosabella's P.O.V.
I walked back over to my bed after grabbing a book from my shelf. If I was going to stay stuck in bed, might as well get myself comfortable.
I sit down with my book and was about to start reading it, when there was a knock at my door.
I got up slowly and slowly walked to the door. I opened it and there stood Daring, panting.
"Rose? A-are y-you okay??" He gasped.
"Daring! What are you doing here? Did Darling tell you-oh for Grimm's sake!"
I grabbed Daring's arm and took him inside, Daring closed the door.
I dragged him inside, making him sit on my bed.
"Okay, what are you doing here?? Classes will start soon!" I asked him as he caught his breath. He looked at me, worry in his eyes.
"Darling told me you weren't feeling well. I wanted to take care of you."
"Aww, Daring." I thought to myself.
"Well, you can, but you probably should go to your classes-"
"I'll skip them!"
I stared at him with disbelief. "You'd skip classes, just to take care of me??"
He nodded with a smile. "Anything for you, my Rose."
I laughed a bit and he pulled me into a hug, I hugged him back.
When we pulled away, I told him. "Daring, I'm really glad that you are willing to skip your classes to take care of me, but I'll be fine! You'll know if
I'm not."
"How??"
"I'll hext you." I said, smiling.
He smiles back. "Okay, fine."
He stood up and started walking to the door. Before he left, he said "But if you need me, please hext me."
I nodded. "I will."
After that, he left.
***Time Skip***
After all the classes were finished for the day, I felt much better that I did this morning. Almost well enough to go to school. But, not well enough.
I waited for Daring to return to my room. He had told me at lunch that he would come visit me before going off with his friends.
A few minutes later there was a knock at my door.
I rushed to open it, and there stood Daring with a bouquet of roses.
"Hi Daring!" I said to him.
He smiled at me, holding the flowers out to me. "Hi, Rose, these are for you."
I took the roses, smiling at them, then at him.
"Thanks Daring!" I said.
I walked into the room again as he followed me, closing the door behind him.
We sat on my bed for a little while before either of us said anything.
"So, are you feeling better?" He asked me.
"Yeah, I think I'll be back at school tomorrow." I replied.
It was quiet for a few minutes before he spoke again.
"I couldn't stop worrying and thinking of you. I missed you."
"I missed you too."
It was silent for yet a few more minutes, before, he asked me something that amazed me.
"Rose, I've been thinking. We aren't really officially a couple yet, and.."
I looked at him with hopeful eyes.
He took a deep breath. "I was wondering..."
I smiled at him, my heart quickening.
He looked at me with a smile.
"Will you be my girlfriend?"
I smiled at him, this is all I've ever wanted ever since I fell in love with him.
I looked at him.
"Yes."
