We sat, having sugar cookies at the mall. Her cherry lips coated in sugar flakes and she laughed as it came off. We looked so perfect. It was so natural. Then she told me about a party. Told me it was going to be fun. She told me that all of her friends were going to be there. She said that I was going to have a great time. At first, I didn't want to go. I don't like being in public, I don't like being crowded. I didn't want to be made fun of. Then she kissed me on the cheek and glared at me playfully. It got me embarrassed so I agreed to go.

She picked me up at 6:00 and helped me get in the car. We arrived at the house-should I not say house. It was a mansion. Decorative marble walls. Glass staircase. Modern screamed itself from it. Kassie helped me up the stairs and I rang the doorbell. A tall boy opened the door. His face was beaded with sweat. His black, floppy hair drooped over his face like a mop , his cheekbones raised high. I could hear party music booming inside.

Suddenly, the whole room fell silent as they stared at me.

Kassie was in shock,"This isn't what it said on the invitation..."

"Welcome to the party Kass," the boy said. "What kind of monster did you bring today?"

Kassie grinned angrily. "Calm down Elias. He's with me."

The boy Elias rolled his eyes. "Come on Kass, you deserve a way better man then that nerd!" Elias exclaimed, showing his guns. I heard girls squealing inside.

"Who invited you?" Kassie said, gritting her teeth. A girl, who I thought was drunk, waved her hand and doubled over onto the floor.

Kassie rolled her eyes,"Liana! Why the heck are you here!"

Liana, the girl on the floor mumbled. "He was cute..."

Kassie growled and looked at me before turning on me and said, "Leo, let's go now." I nodded my head in reply, I didn't want this.

Elias grabbed Kassie's shoulder. "Wait Kass," he began.

Kassie punched him in the face. I smiled a bit. Don't mess with her!

"Don't call me Kass," she spat.

He clutched his cheek before saying, "Come on Kass, I know you like me."

Kass growled, "Get away from me." Elias took a step closer.

I couldn't take it anymore and I wheeled my chair over to him. "Hey, you heard her!" I yelled, trying to sound confident. "Don't call her Kass and stay away." Elias suddenly lost interest in Kassie and started to stroll over to me.

"You wanna go wheel boy?" I passed a feared expression over my face. Oops, got the bad boy mad.

"Leave us alone!" I stammered.

"Oh, we're bringing in the "us" part now," he grinned menacingly. I wheeled my chair over his foot really hard.

"No!" I heard Kassie scream. The last thing I saw was a fist come square into my chest before blacking out. The high pitched screams of Kassie got shrouded by darkness.
