Carl had been nervous to talk to you since he first saw you in Alexandria. You were the person with the most secrets, yet you knew how to hide them well. But Carl Grimes, the boy who held many secrets himself, could see straight through your act of innocence.
Almost each day you would climb over the wall and explore the forest around the 'safe haven' you lived in. A place that you could not call home as you did not actually feel safe there.
"Hey." You heard a voice call out from close behind you and when you spun around, you came face to face with the blue eyed boy.
"Why are you out here?" You asked, slightly annoyed that you had been followed.
"I could ask you the same thing." He looked at you expectedly, clearly wanting to know the name that he had been nervous to know for weeks.
"Y/N." You uttered quietly to the sheriffs boy who continued to stare at your face that he had failed to see up close up until now. Carl was truly captivated by your beauty and it was making you blush to say the least.
He eventually snapped out of his trance and shook his head slightly. "I'm Carl." He finally introduced himself.
"Well Carl, you have some blood on your face that you may want to wipe off before we get back!" You commented with a slight smirk and turned away from the slightly stunned boy.
