He had followed you into the woods outside Alexandria. The weird, one eyed boy who hadn't even tried to speak to you since you arrived at the safe haven. "Hey!" Carl called as you walked past him, barely acknowledging his existence.
You could hear the crunch of the leaves beneath his feet as he followed closely behind. "Why did you follow me?" Finally you turned to Carl who walked straight into you after your unexpected halt. Both of you were fast to scramble away from each other, now face to face feeling somewhat awkward.
"You're new in Alexandria." Carl's singular eye pierced into yours as he stated the first thing that came to his mind.
"Yes and you have one eye." You shrugged slightly, but the casualness of the action fell flat when Carl shot you a dubious look. "Oh sorry I thought we were just stating the obvious." Again, you shrugged and began to walk away however Carl was fast to grip your arm.
"What's your name?"
"Y/N. I'll see you around Carl." You finished with a playful smile, quietly happy that the one eyed boy had decided to talk to you.

i've been watching a lot of the big bang theory lately so 'y/n' is being a bit upfront today...carl needs someone to be sassy to him though.
