Shout out to the one who broke me,
The one who told me I couldn't do it,
The ones who pushed me down,
The ones who told me not to make a sound.
Shout out to the person that shouted;
"You are nothing.
You are nobody.
You're not good enough.
You just can't be the person you want."
Shout out to the one who built me up,
When I was at my worst,
The ones who made me shut up,
When I really just wanted to curse.
Shout out to the one that made me strong,
Like the woman I am today,
Not letting anyone take advantage of me,
Like I used to let them;
I stopped before it was too late.
Shout out to myself,
And my inner demons,
My inner voice telling my to quite being me,
My heart telling me to resist their lies,
Let it be,
Shout out to me,
For still standing here.
